PERSONAL NOTE ON PSALM 23

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing; I don't just lack in material things, in prosperity and its likes, I also don't lack in discipline, in obedience to God, and in my consecration.

His rod and staff comforts me; God isn't just here to comfort me, but also to discipline me. I know His voice, so when I'm about to stray He calls me back into His fold.

I do not lack in direction or in purpose because he refreshes my soul and guides me along the right part. So I know what to do, how to do it, when to do, where to do it and with whom I do it will...I have divine leading, I do not fear uncertainties! Even when my spirit is down, I get refreshed by the word of God and by the Holy Spirit locked up inside of me.

I do not fear dark seasons, I welcome it boldly because my shepherd doesn't leave me stranded, he's always with me. Glory!!!
No matter how dark life gets, my confidence will never be shaken, because Jesus is on my boat and i know whom i believe!!
I'm not scared of the devil or his devices.

He prepares a table for me, a feast of fat things and my cup overflows. My economy is not determined by the world's economy, I already have everything I need.

And in all these, I am confident because he has assigned goodness and mercy to follow me all the days of my life, so I constantly enjoy the goodness and mercies of ABBA.

I am not without help!!
Glory to God!!!

We are in a world where parents are working tirelessly to leave at least something tangible to their children as an inheritance. In a bid to fulfill this, a lot of persons have missed what genuinely matters. This leaves us with the question: what kind of legacy are we leaving to/for our children? Is it one that is corruptible or one that is incorruptible?

There is no greater legacy or inheritance than the incorruptable Word of God!!!
The houses, money, gold etc are all perishable but God's word is enduring. It cuts through seasons and generations.

Introducing Jesus to your children, is by far the best inheritance to leave to them. Teaching them about God while they also see God's reflection in your life is priceless.

I've heard stories about how my mum served God fervently and diligently with all she had and even with her strength. In fact, my dad's conversion to the faith was because of this.
I've seen my grandma hold on to God until her last days and oh, I've seen and still seeing my dad serve God faithfully not withstanding.

My dad use to say a prayer. He always told God, that if he (my dad) was to sin tomorrow and fall out of the faith that He (God) should take his life today. I never use to understand those words until December 2023.

My dad fell seriously sick to the point of death, and while we were still praying and trusting God for a miracle; alot of people (though showing their concerns) went on suggesting alot of things that are contrary to what we believe as Christians. The most shocking was when an ordained Reverend minister was recommending one prophet (story for another day😂), but in all of these my dad refused their suggestions and held on to God. Those days he would say, he would rather die than betray God.

THIS HERE IS A LEGACY!!!

I could go on and on and give you more examples, but you see these testimonials also contributed to my faith in God. It laid some of the foundations of my faith.

2015, I had an encounter with God that changed my life and my relationship with Him.
I've held someone in my heart for most of my life at that time. I've been so/too hurt by this person that I've made up my mind not to forgive them.
I've lived with the bitterness for years.

August 2015, right after FECA Western Regional Convention during one of my personal prayer time; I heard the Holy Spirit asking me to let go. I'd acted as though I was deaf(i go lie for you😂) , but the nudge kept growing stronger. I had cried, I tried to reasoning with the Holy Spirit but Baba no gree🤣😭. Amidst my tears, I called and apologised to this person. Yes, you heard right; I apologised to someone who had hurt me for years and immediately I felt the unrestrained peace of God. From that that until tomorrow, there is no hurt or disappointment I cannot let go of.

Fast forward to last week, someone had offended me so badly. I have never felt so bad in while, I had cried because of how hurt I had felt. While crying, the devil was like " this person doesn't need forgiveness for what they've done". Immediately, I cleaned my eyes and gave a reply "I have forgiven them" and again I felt God's warm embrace.

You see, God loves us so much that He has blotted out all of our transgressions. He doesn't keep track of our weaknesses or shortcomings. Remember, we're made in His image and so we are like Him.

That brother or sister might not be deserving of your forgiveness in your own judgment. They might have done the unimaginable or hurt you deeply, but I've come to tell you that it is time to let go. Is it easy? Definitely, but nothing absolutely nothing is worth sacrificing your relationship with God.
You will feel as though you want to die, but trust me you will not die.🤏😊

Just imagine unforgiveness being the reason why you're not making progress in life and Faith. Remember the adage, "person wey hold another person for ground still dey ground". Then ask yourself, is it really worth it?

God gave His only begotten son for our sake. He was bruised, beaten, mocked just so you and I will experience life in God. Yet, we still go astray every now and then; Re-crucifying Him o by @ogechy_md

This year was tailor-made for me. I still wake up astonished at the unwavering mercies of Abba. This season has pointed me more to the "FATHERLY" nature of God.

First, I knew where I was headed; anticipating, just waiting for that day to come. The next moment? Everything went off like smoke, just at the twinkle of an eye.

Then came the struggle, the hopeless that felt unending; That future i had hoped for was looking unachievable, The timeline? Shifted. I was no longer sure of future anymore. I had cried, prayed and trusted God with every fibre of my being. On several occasions, I had reminded Him of His promises and His word.

In the mist of all these I learned to judge God faithful, I've learned to trust Him even when the present doesn't look like His Word. I had learn to identify more with Him as "ABBA".

Here i am, standing complete in what He has done, still speechless but extremely grateful. I had no idea 2 years ago I'd be here not even January of last year, but my darling ABBA; What a Father He truly is.

Lord, this little girl is grateful. Thank you ABBA, because I have experienced your love.

Baby girl is now a DOCTOR like a whole real DOCTOR!!!!!

First in my family (Paternal and Maternal)

The last 8 months plus has been a very thrilling one for me. From preparing for my first licensing board exams ( it wasn't an easy one but I crushed it y'all) to doing my clinical rotations this summer.
In these last months I've seen God being so good to me in ways I didn't expect, I've seen him come through for me with just my mustard seed faith and most times it's unbelievable.

To be sincere, my faith in God had grown so much in the last couple of months; God has been so good to me and my heart is constantly filled with overwhelming joy.

I love Him and I'm overwhelmed by Him.

READ CAREFULLY ◇◇◇◇

New blog post alert°°°Ezeogechi.blogspot.com

One way to truly serve God and obey Him is by freeing ourselves from DOCTRINE.

Doctrine to me is just the law in disguise.

Our manual for TRUE CHRISTIANITY should forever remain the BIBLE. The bible is the only book through which God speaks to His own.

Each denomination (Church ) has its doctrine that may/is contrary to the doctrine of another denomination.

We were thought as children to follow these doctrines, we were made to live out these doctrines because this is how they believed a Christian should live ( I'm not totally against doctrines though, some are cool while some aren't)..we were freed from the law only to be made slaves to doctrines and church dogmas (the dos and don'ts).

Our only doctrine should be following in the footsteps of Christ according to the pattern(blueprint)(Exodus 25:40) that God has made for each of us; the same way our purpose and predestination are peculiar to each of us is the same way God's pattern for each of us varies. We just need to trust and obey Him enough to see us through life's journey.

The only truth we need as Christians are the truth of God's word(the bible) and nothing else. Nothing matters other than God's word.

Just as the psalmist said, His word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path (psalms 119:105), God's word is enough guidance to see us through this troublesome world and help us achieve our aim of ETERNITY.

I believe as Christians we need to start living above Religion and focus more on our relationship with the Father of Light in whom there is no variableness or shadow of turning. At the end of the day, what matters most is our relationship with God, how well we know him and how far we've gone to obey His every instruction.

Yes God loves it when we become church workers, fellowship leaders or when we work in His vineyard as a whole but He's also very much interested in our walk with Him. Don't working for God deprive you of walking with Him. Don't be like Martha who was so engrossed in entertaining Jesus rather than sitting by His feet like Mary. by @ogechy_md
