For four months, I’ve been building a business: websites and digital products for people. And in that time, I haven’t really spoken about the actual work or process.

Not on video. Not on LinkedIn. Not in any of the ways somebody who doesn’t already know me could find me.

It seems to me like easiest possible thing:
(1) Turn on a camera.
(2) Say ‘Hi, my name’s David. I build websites and digital products for people. Talk to me if you want one.’
(3) Upload it.

I haven’t done it until now; and this is what I’m talking about this week. I ‘m talking about my shadows, the deeper thing under them, and the punk-rock middle path I’m walking now.

We're paying rent on something that should be something we own.

Every month business owners are paying platforms like Mindbody, Paytronix, ServiceTitan for a roadmap that's theirs, not yours.

You don't need to fill the gallery. You just need to hang the first piece on the wall.

When you own your own platform, you own your process. You own your data. You own the ability to change course without asking permission.

We replaced Hubspot with something we built ourselves. The team stopped fighting tools, the business got clear, and we grew.
