Our owner Suzanne had the honor of dressing her niece Brandee for her wedding back home on Kauai. Brandee wore Kailani by Rebecca Ingram @maggiesotterodesigns and Suzanne didn’t stop at the perfect fit. She custom-filled the illusion back by hand with appliqués and beading so it was completely one of a kind.

Dress blindness is a real thing.

After gown 10, they all start to look the same, and that’s usually the moment you’re closest to the one.

If you already found her, you don’t need five more appointments to prove it. We had a bride sitting in our suite last week who couldn’t connect with anything here… because she’d already found her dress somewhere else and loved it.

We told her: go get it.

That’s a win for her, even if it’s not a sale for us.

Before you book a bunch of appointments, do a little homework first. Follow the shop, check their website, see if their style actually matches yours. A lower price tag doesn’t always mean the better deal — sometimes it means less support, less honesty, or a discount that could get the designer pulled from that shop entirely (yes, that happens, and then no one can get that dress there again).

Trust your gut. When you know, you know. 🤍
