NO WAY. I found a dai pai dong in Wan Chai that’s cheap, comfy, has insane wok hey, AND the owner’s a legend?! 😱

what i ate at @chungkeerestaurant:
🦀 typhoon shelter crab $498
🍗 signature chicken $268
🐟 steamed fish $168
🔥 sizzling water spinach claypot $88
🐽 sweet and sour pork $98
🍚 fried rice $68

Packed on a Thursday. Locals love it. Bringing a big group or foreign friends here after work for cold beer and proper siu choy. So good.

Step into the warm, vintage glow of Ruth’s Chris at Admiralty. Think rich walnut wood, intimate lighting, and a vibe that feels both classic and timeless. @ruthschrishk @ruthschris

But let’s talk about the star: 𝐔𝐒𝐃𝐀 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐤 served on a blazing hot plate, locked in butter and flavor until the very last piece. 🔥🧈

𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬:
🧄 Garlic shrimp dripping in buttery sauce (bread is a must for cleanup!)
🦀 Crab cake loaded with tender, sweet chunks
🍞 Even the baguette is an event — served hot with dreamy butter cream

If you’re looking for a special spot this Christmas (or any celebration, really), this is it. ❤️🎄

trick or treat but chef said caviar 🎃

finally got to try @foodhub.andrew’s food and he really went all out for halloween. everything from the names to the tiniest details was on theme, but more importantly, everything just tasted so good 🫶🏼

🍎 poison apple | foie gras, granny smith, blackberries
🎃 pumpkin sourdough | pumpkin seed, sage, smoked maple
🖤 ankimo brûlée | caviar, pinot noir, wasabi, yuzu
🦀 hairy crab toast | white truffle, apple black vinegar, caviar
🥩 beef wellington | homemade croissant pastry
💔 broken hearts | sesame, tofu, ginger
🥧 treacle tart | sorghum, hazelnut, brown butter

just a happy meal ♡ by @oheynat_eats

not just another pretty tasting michelin menu 👀

finally tried @mjgucluer mina’s menu at 1 michelin-starred @belonhk. rooted in french cooking with mediterranean touches, everything was refined and beautifully plated, but more importantly, some dishes were genuinely memorable.

my highlights ↓
🦆 14-day aged duck with smoked eggplant
熟成14天阿比修斯烤鴨
crispy skin + the prettiest gradual pink inside

🤍 foie gras with apricots and jurançon
法國鵝肝配杏桃及瑞朗松白甜酒
rich, creamy, fruity and somehow not heavy at all

✨ brioche beef tartare with caviar
魚子醬牛肉他他 (+hk$298)
beef tartare + caviar + brioche = say less

🐟 yellowtail with sugar peas and lardo di colonnata
油甘魚配甜豆及科隆納塔豬油脂
creamy with an extra layer of richness from the lardo

🦀 norwegian king crab with courgette blossom and tarragon 挪威皇帝蟹配櫛瓜花及龍蒿
sweet, light and fresh

🍧 pomegranate granita with honey and elderflower
石榴冰沙配蜂蜜及接骨木花
the perfect little palate cleanser

🍰 revani au rhum with bergamot and crème fraîche
佛手柑酸奶油蛋糕
a light citrusy finish, though probably the least memorable for me

lately i’ve been obsessed with hanwoo bbq—so rich in flavor without being greasy 🤤🥩

came @haeundaegalbi.hk with a big group and loved everything:
✨ wide selection of hanwoo (korean beef)
🥩 beef tartare with shiso
🍲 rich soups & comforting noodles
🥞 crispy seafood pancake

plus the owner is a beef wholesaler, so the quality is top-tier and the staff grills everything for you 👌🏻
