I never knew that love could be this beautiful.
My beautiful baby. My precious little angel.
It was September 14. In the blooming of the Queen of the Night, I wished upon it that it would bring me love and happiness. A few minutes later, I received a text about a little cat and that’s how I found her. She was discovered inside a car’s bonnet.
She came to me on September 15. It felt like it was meant to be. She knew me. I knew her. We became inseparable, best friends. Through her, I understood what a companion, a partner, truly meant.
So many cuddles and kisses. Sleeping together, playing together, eating together. Wherever I was, she was there too. I loved how much we enjoyed each other’s company. We talked a lot. I cried a lot, and she was the greatest comforter. I never once thought about losing her.
On October 27, she stopped eating. I took her to the vet, and he said it wasn’t that serious, gave her medicine and said she’d get better soon. But I saw her deteriorating day by day, and I couldn’t do anything. I hoped and prayed for her every day.
On November 1, I lost her.
That day began with a visit from the vet. He said she might not survive. Grief filled my body. I didn’t leave her side for even a second. My eyes cried rivers while she struggled in so much pain, I could see it. Still, she didn’t leave me. I heard her purring, telling me that she loved me.
I took her into my arms and felt her body growing cold. Everyone came to say their goodbyes. I wasn’t ready to let her go. She stayed with me calmly.
She struggled to breathe. After a long hug, I placed her on my sofa, sat beside her, held her cute little paws and then she took her last breath. She was gone.
