📢 Empowering Girls, One Pad at a Time!

In a bold move to promote menstrual health and improve school attendance among adolescent girls, The Celestine Foundation, a non-profit organization, spearheaded by me, has donated sanitary pads to 245 female students across three basic schools in the South Tongu Municipality, Volta Region.

The beneficiary schools—Real Vision Academy, Evangelical Christian Academy, and Sokpoe D/A Basic School—were selected based on pressing socio-economic needs identified through community engagement.

I emphasized the importance of menstrual health as a key driver of gender equality and academic success.

💬 Access to menstrual hygiene is not a luxury—it’s a fundamental need. No girl should miss school or drop out because of a natural biological process.

This initiative is part of my Foundation’s broader mission to eliminate stigma, promote menstrual literacy, and create safe spaces for dialogue in both schools and communities.

School authorities and community leaders praised the donation as a timely intervention that restores confidence, dignity, and educational opportunities for girls.

The Foundation is already exploring partnerships to expand the programme across the Volta Region and ensure its long-term sustainability.

🙌 We call on government, civil society, and corporate partners to join us in building a future where no girl is left behind.

This initiative aligns with both national and global goals for health, education, and gender equity—marking another powerful step in the Foundation’s commitment to youth development and community empowerment.

📍Akuse Female Prison & Roman Catholic D/A School – Natriku, Eastern Region

Our Pad of Hope Initiative outreach today was a tremendous success! 💫
We were blessed to donate:
• 500 sanitary pads to the school
• 200 sanitary pads to the prison
• 100 pens 🖊️
• 300 hand sanitizers 🧴
• Nose masks & hand gloves 🧤😷

These essential items were shared with love, care, and education to restore dignity and promote menstrual health.

We are beyond grateful to every supporter, donor, and volunteer who helped make this day possible. Your kindness is changing lives, one act at a time. 💕

We also educated our participants on:
• The female reproductive system
• Menstrual hygiene practices
• Myths vs facts about menstruation
• Confidence building & breaking stigma

A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved. Your impact was felt deeply today.
Let’s keep breaking the silence, one pad at a time. 🌍💪🏾

We are changing the narrative about menstrual 😊 by @ohhemagh

On May 28th, in celebration of World Menstrual Hygiene Day, I had the privilege of leading a transformative outreach at Madina M/A KG and Primary School on behalf of the All-Africa Students Union (AASU) ,in collaboration with PRESCOTT MEDICAL CENTER and ohhemagh
We educated young girls on menstrual hygiene, empowered boys to become allies in breaking the stigma, and donated sanitary pads to support dignity and health. We also shared some treats to bring smiles to their faces.

Grateful to all our partners and volunteers who made this impact possible. Let’s keep advocating for menstrual equity and ending period shame—one child at a time.

May 28 is Menstrual Hygiene Day 🩸
Let’s not just talk about it—let’s take action.

At Ohhema, we’ve seen how one pack of pads can restore confidence, dignity, and opportunity for girls and women.

This year, we’re calling on everyone—NGOs, families, friends, and YOU—to buy pads and give them to someone in need.

🎁 It could be a girl in your neighborhood.
🎒 A student in your community.
💪🏾 A woman who simply can’t afford it.

Let’s lift each other up, one pad at a time.
Join the movement. Spread the care.

New year, renewed purpose! 🎉

This January, SheGoal Foundation proudly donated sanitary pads to Faith Ladies, a Ghana Women’s Premier League club, as part of our mission to combat period poverty. We believe no girl should have to choose between her period and her passion for sports.

This is just the beginning—our hope is to do even more to make playing sports as comfortable and empowering as possible for these incredible athletes. Together, we can break barriers and build a better future for women in sports.

A huge thank you to @ohhemagh for the discount and support.
Thank you for receiving us @faithladiesfc 💗

Join us in this mission by donating today. Every contribution makes a difference! 💪 #SheGoalFoundation #EndPeriodPoverty #SupportWomenInSports by @ohhemagh

@letsignitechange made a difference at Teshie Salem School!

We are thrilled to announce that our team recently visited the Teshie Salem school to donate pads and provide menstrual hygiene education to the students!

Thanks to the generosity of our contributors, we were able to provide essential products to help girls stay in school and thrive. Your support has made a tangible impact on their lives!

Our team also delivered an engaging workshop on menstrual hygiene, covering topics like:

- Myth-busting and facts about menstruation
- Proper pad usage and maintenance
- Self-care and confidence building

The students were eager to learn and asked thoughtful questions. We are proud to have played a part in empowering them with knowledge and resources!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this initiative. Your kindness has ignited change in the lives of these young girls and contributed to curbing period poverty. Let’s continue to support and uplift one another!
