We made it to summer! Summer is my favorite but most confusing time of year. Full of public appearances and private crash outs. When I say I’m romanticizing my life I mean I walked around two museums today listening to and finishing my romance audiobook. To top it off, no less than 5 beautiful Black women complimented me as I made my way from museum, to train, to food, and back to my home. April somehow made a decade in LA? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. This city forged me. Beat my ass and somehow made me into someone I love. Started my Saturn return moving here, changed careers here, heartbreak did NOT feel good in a place like here (lol), made lifelong and seasonal friendships, had some wild “only in hollywood” nights that make me a believer of most of the stories on the shaderoom (but never a follower, there’s a difference), and lastly made me one of Los Angeles’ fiercest advocates. If you have been apart of my story in LA in anyway please know that you have imprinted on me in ways that I can never repay. Good or complex they made me. And my gratitude is limitless. 🫶🏾*I heard it wasn’t cool to add songs on your posts anymore and I’ve never wanted to be “cool” so 🤷🏾‍♀️* by @ohhimeek

Ojai Meek. 🤭 Day trips with @mavis.mp4 have been a saving grace. We love a cute little California town. This is my 3rd trip to Ojai and @bartsbooksojai is always stop number 1. @pixiesgeneralstore had the cutest little library and @threebirdsojai had a wall of books that included a copy of Best American Essays 2024 edited by Wesley Morris that I now regret not purchasing. (Not pictured all the fooood! Thanks to an infatuation article we basically rolled out of town lmao)Mission: Replace arcs that have sat in my library unread with used books that I will read in the next 5 years. New books will be purchased ONLY if recommended by readers I trust or book club picks. (Sharing for accountability.) by @ohhimeek
