My album “Equanimity” is out now in the link below 👇

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Today I’m releasing an album, “Equanimity”

I’ve been holding these 7 songs in my hard drive for at least a year, and I keep telling myself I have to release one song at a time, each song needs to have its own release schedule and promo and blah blah blah.

No songs that just sit on a hard drive will ever be heard, they also will never be perfect so what’s the point in sitting with them?

To be real honest, the past year has been really challenging and as a producer I feel that my lack of releasing music is just because of excuses and I’m not interested in making them anymore.

I’m calling this album “equanimity” because I feel at peace with these songs and the way they’ve turned out and appreciate the memories that these songs are attached to and I’m hopeful people enjoy them as much as I have.

For now this album is available on SoundCloud only and I will eventually release on all platforms. If you’d like to take a listen the link to the album is in my bio 🫶

“MY SHIT BANG” is available now on SoundCloud. I made this track a year ago and been playing in my sets ever since. Back when I was a freshman in high school, a friend of mine gave me a ride home from a football game and played the original My shit bang with some subwoofers and as I heard that bass and then E-40’s verse over it. It truly became one of my favorite beats/raps ever in that moment. Something about the energy and the confidence in this track always connected with me. After I had made this beat, I listened and all of a sudden I could hear the lyrics over it, so I ripped the vocals and threw it on and it was a perfect fit. I love the Bay Area sound and there’s not many other places that have produced so much good hip hop that really captures a culture and reality of its surroundings. So I hope I’m not doing it a disservice in any way by molding it with house 😂 so I wanna say thank you to E-40, for the memories and the influence in my music 🫶

“Memento Mori” means “Remember death” or the mortality of all things including oneself. Similar to sayings like “Carpe diem” or “you only live once” but without hiding the truth about our mortality and accepting death with appreciation for the life you’ve been gifted & making the most of it because you only have the one ✌️ taken in San Diego, California by @ohmygrsh
