Incoming indie game teaser! Launch yourself on a quest to greenify the world by battling the undead 💀🌿

I’m thrilled to have written the score and done the final mix to this wonderful video game trailer, created by developer @seedfound and to have collaborated with @ribrule who contributed killer SFX!

I was hooked from the moment I saw the animation, especially because I knew I was going to be able to delve deep into my orchestral tools! I can’t wait to see this game take shape, and I hope you enjoy 🌱

Just send me a message and I’ll share with you a link to our funding page 😁

We’re getting closer to our fundraising goal, but we could still use your help 🧡

💌 Drop me a line to support and help us bring this film to life 💌

From the mind of writer/director @andrewdutkiewiczz CALL THIS LAND MOTHER is a story about finding your way in a strange new land. Coming off the heels of a successful festival run with his previous film, “Everything Happens” we’re looking to up the anti and deliver something even better!

It’ll be a pleasure to write the score to this film, and I’d love for the entire team to have the resources they need to make something truly spectacular 💫

If you’d like to help us complete our vision, send me a dm and I’ll direct you to our @seedandspark page where you can support by pledging, following, and sharing. You can also find a link to our page in my bio. If money is tight and you don’t have the funds, no worries at all! Shooting us a quick follow on Seed&Spark helps tremendously to increase our visibility 🫡

Thanks a million 💯

🚨 CALL THIS LAND MOTHER is CROWDFUNDING NOW! 🚨🥺🥺🥺

Every dollar helps us make @callthislandmother a reality, going to the resources and people that make it so!

Link is in my bio (to see the full 1.66 AtlasScope video) and feel free to DM me for anything!

For our @seedandspark Crowdfunding Video we decided to not just use it as a platform to share our message, but to begin pre-production in many areas.

First was using this as a lens test. Our DoP @mattfdevlin and I teamed up with @atlaslensco to approach our shooting format: AtlasScope. An experimental format that gives the background separation of an anamorphic look, while maintaining a square portrait focus on subjects. This video was our first chance to see how this looked, how it felt, and how we had to approach production and post-production. Many thanks to Atlas Lens Co. for giving us this opportunity! (you can even donate through our wishlist to help supply the funds for the Orion Silver Lenses we want, or better yet if you have or know someone that has them, you can loan us these beauts!)

We then were able to begin the search for our sound with our Composer @ohno.notes - beginning to open up doors on this collaboration, experimenting with sounds and adjectives giving us a head start on our score!

And overall, we were able to begin circulating and toying the film in our heads in a whole new way. What’s the pace going to feel like? The coloring process? The pacing? Recording voiceover on or off set?

This video helped us hit snags now, that we can drive around later.

I hope you can help us make CALL THIS LAND MOTHER a reality! ❤️

Nothing swoons our psyche quite the way that music does 😂😭

This is why a carefully crafted musical score is so important to include in your film! A scene can live and die by the quality of its score, and I’m in the business of making scenes live 🍃

I’ve learned quite a bit about the craft of film scoring over the years, and I’m happy to announce that I’ll be sharing some of this knowledge in a presentation at Harbor Island Studios next Monday the 21st at 7pm. If you’re a composer hoping to broaden your education, or a filmmaker (or game developer) curious about how tailor made music might enhance your story, then this talk is for you!

There will also be a Q&A session after the presentation so I can answer all of your film composing related questions 🙋‍♂️

Hope to see you there!

A heart wrenching flashback montage of a lost love 🥺

Nothing says “I love you, and I miss you” like a slowly evolving string section 🎻

@kaitlynthomasofficial and @chesta_beatz did a wonderful job expressing a perfect blend of happiness and mourning in this scene of Eve of Eternity. Directed by the very talented @swaneon they made it easy for me to find the right musical tone of tenderness and longing.
