They say losing a pet is like losing a family member.
I felt like I just lost not only that but what was left of a family member.
Sammy was my heart and soul on four little legs.
Regardless of how strange and weird he was, he showed he loved me in his own special ways. Even if it seemed like he hated me lmao
I slept with this dog the first few weeks we had him on an air mattress in my hallway downstairs. Because I didn’t want him to be alone. He saved me in so many ways by just existing. He was the last living thing left of my pop pop, and now he’s up there with him. They both went peacefully in their sleep too.
I just wish I could’ve been there. But I know Sammy didn’t want anyone around. He knew what he was doing.
I loved this dog. My silly baby boy. Burrito. A stalker n a weirdo. N sometimes a lil shit. (All said w love)
But most importantly, my saving grace.
I’ll see you wherever you are soon, and I’ll pick you up and cuddle you even if you don’t want me to, and I’ll give you all the treats you want.
I’ll get your paw print tattooed soon I promise my boy.
I love you Sammy. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you. But atleast you stayed around until after Christmas.
