My 50th audiobook dropped yesterday. 🤩

I absolutely adored this book and Amity - it's funny, full of chills and will break your heart a little if you know what it's like to be the "weird girl" (Hi, it's me.) For my Casper girlies - this one is definitely for you. Supernatural friends? Also for you. Rom-Com/Summerween peoples? For you.

The day has finally come - Baby's first "Big 5" release. This is technically my second book for @prhaudio (thank you so much for bringing me in - I had a fabulous time) but my first on a multi-cast (I'm very excited to share this project with my fellow narrators - hi @clinshaw ! ) and my first Big 5 release day. I have another project coming soon, so keep those eyes peeled.

Now - this wonderful, candid, vulnerable, and at times - incredibly funny book is perhaps not what you usually see from me here. However, these are stories that have immense value and deserve to be told so that we can better understand each other as humans.

Non-monogamy and polyamory have stretched back through the ages but have only recently started to venture into mainstream visibility. For that, I am grateful.

I hope you enjoy these stories and learn something along the way. I know I did. <3

In short, these are OUR stories, OUR voices, OUR art. WE should be telling our stories - not a machine who will never know what it means to live, to feel, to create.

Also - Gen AI is THEFT. It is KILLING OUR PLANET. There is no such thing as ETHICAL Gen AI. Our community has been hit so hard by this theft - we've lost jobs - and we're taking a stand and refusing "virtual voices" - which are built on STOLEN voices. We're refusing to buy AI written books (also - why? Why would we want them??) and refusing to use AI character art or book covers (all AI artwork comes from artists, REAL artists, who did not consent to have their artwork used).

Choices matter people. As a community, we can choose NOT to use Gen AI.

It's time for #humanvoicesonly ! In support of the #nofakesact - and BECAUSE:
- Barnes and Noble just announced they're stocking AI written books
- Spotify just announced a deal with ElevenLabs (who currently is being sued by journalists, podcasters, and voice actors because their voice models were built on STOLEN voices) to create even more AI audiobooks
-JUNE IS AUDIOBOOK MONTH
-Human voices MATTER. Period. WE should be the ones telling OUR stories. Not a machine who will never grasp what it means to be human.

I implore you - Authors, Readers, Artists, Narrators, fellow humans - post something HUMAN CREATED or praise those that do - and do it with the hashtag #humanvoicesonly so that we can remind our communities why art created by humans is so vital to us.
