our hearts hold both the baby we had to let go of & the baby we are blessed to carry.

after loss, this joy feels different. sweeter, heavier, more sacred.

Mother’s Day feels especially tender this year. 🤍
truly grateful for Paxton - I get to hold, love & watch grow every day, while also grieving the babygirl we never got the chance to meet.
pregnancy loss is a grief that doesn’t simply disappear, it lingers in quiet moments, milestones & the “what could have been” thoughts that come unexpectedly. learning that healing isn’t about forgetting, but about finding a way to carry both love & loss together.
this grief journey has changed me in ways I never expected - constantly teaching me that joy & heartbreak can exist in the same space. some days I feel strong, other days the loss feels just as heavy as the moment it happened.

February was interesting - a loss, lots of love, & some rest.

“Baby Thomas • September 2026.” 🤍 🥹
that was the announcement we thought we were going to make. but there wasn’t a heartbeat. there were prayers. there were dreams wrapped in so much love.

As a Black woman, i’m painfully aware of the statistics. we carry so much life, strength, expectations, & risks that aren’t talked about enough. this loss is personal, but it’s also part of a larger story that so many women who look like me are forced to navigate.

I may never understand why our time was so short, but I trust that God’s plans are greater than ours; even when they break my heart.

My faith has been stretched, but it has not disappeared.

I am holding on to Paxton a little tighter these days; loving on him with even more intention. 💙

Learning that grief & trust can exist in the same space. Learning that God is still good, even here; during this healing time.
