It was an honour to share the stage and introduce the premiere of @oichechultuir with everyone in the Gearrscannáin programme at the @galwayfilm festival last week. Gearrscannáin was the first programme at @galwayfilm to screen all Irish language shorts.

Massive congratulations to @johnchristopher.film for picking up an award for @the_axe_forgets. @naoisekettle shot the film beautifully, and deservedly won the Donal Gilligan award for Best Cinematography in the short film category.

Thank you to everyone in @rteradio1 for having me on Ray’s show yesterday, and to Colm McGuirk and all at The Irish Mail for their kind words in Sunday’s paper.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every single person who praised @oichechultuir over the last week, the response has blown me away. 🇮🇪❤️ by @oisin_fleming

I wrote, directed, produced and played the lead in my debut film @oichechultuir funded by @screenireland through the Actor as Creator scheme.

Oíche Chultúir is getting its premiere at the @galwayfilm festival on Wednesday, 9th of July at 10am alongside other Irish language shorts.

I’ll be forever in debt to the crew and cast who helped me make this.

2025 brought a lot of joy for @oichechultuir! After its premiere at @galwayfilm, it managed a special mention at @kerryintfilmfest, a finalist position at @waterfordfilmfest, and an 8pm screening on Friday night in @cineworld.dublin for @disfmf.

For its first screening of 2026, I was thrilled to be asked by @meganrobinson23 and @oisin_mcfarlandsmith to be apart of the Wicklow Shorts Showcase hosted by @screenwicklow next Thursday the 15th in the @mermaidartscentre.

OICHE CHULTUIR

I was lucky enough to work on this amazing short earlier in the year with an amazing crew of people.

Written,directed by and starring @oisin_fleming

It has been selected as part of the @galwayfilm this year showing on Wednesday, the 9th of July.

Designed the poster for it, using my stills aswell.

Thanks for having me on it, Ois. by @oisin_fleming
