POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It's a wild ride to work on a project for over 14 years in some shape or form and finally see things turning into a book. Then to ask some incredibly brilliant people to read what you've written and get their beautiful and generous reflections back. I feel wrapped in gratitude. Thank you @anthonyocampo.phd @zentronix @prof.halo @cohncarl and Mari Matsuda for your early reviews and endorsements of my book!

@wordsbydumi and I weigh in on the debate over test scores like the SAT and ACT in college admissions, and specifically on the discourse at the University of California, where a small minority of faculty (many who don’t actually teach) are raising a ruckus calling for the reinstatement of test scores to unnecessarily gate keep. by @oiyanpoon

Joyful auntie duties: feeding wonderful @dem.gog and making sure he’s safe and happy as he makes his way back to California from Boston. The food @mirrachicago was so good! I especially loved the lamb barbacoa biryani, and the carne apache papad tostada. Perfect for all the 🫖 and 😂 we had. by @oiyanpoon

Another fun read set on a college campus. One of the main characters is an RA, and tensions involved sticky student affairs drama. Definitely recommend to SApros in my circles. by @oiyanpoon

A sit-in action has begun in Te Te’s pressure campaign for a dog.🐶 I came out of the bathroom one minute and saw about half a dozen stuffies, mostly the dogs, at the sit in with a poorly written sign. Then I came out later and the sit-in crowd had tripled with more signs.

Glad to see my kid is applying the lessons in civil disobedience we’ve instilled in them since they were born✊🏼 by @oiyanpoon

Had a blast at @jennyyangtv @goodeggparty with the Auntie Crew during the sold out Chicago show! The very best kind of mutual aid! We gotta laugh even in dystopian times to survive, thrive, and keep fighting.

I've been having a hard time focusing on any one question or topic in my writing lately, so in my latest Substack, I reflected on several things. publicpedagogy.substack.com by @oiyanpoon
