CULTURE WORKS Season II presentsOJ THAGREAT 👑Othis Newton a.k.a. O.J. Tha Great was born and raised in the cool hills of St. Andrew, Jamaica. At an early age his musical influence primarily came from his father Tuffy, of the twin duet Ruffy & Tuffy, whose message was manifested as liberating reggae music. At elementary school OJ was part of his school choir and Performing Arts Society and received silver medals for his dub pieces for two consecutive years in the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) Competition. Later while at St. Georges College high school he formed a reggae group called R.C.L.O. Along his journey he found himself on the wrong side of the law and was incarcerated for a year. Doing time provided an opportunity for deep reflection and OJ was inspired to write a deep well of songs. With his musical genes and light as well as steadfast determination and work ethic @ojthagreat is a new reggae force to reckon with According to his own philosophy: “The sooner a man acknowledges that GREATNESS is from birth, the sooner he breaks free from all failures of success” Forward for more powerful talent and spirit in Culture Works Season II this Friday when @skylinelevels will present to you another emerging King and Queen of Reggae powered by the @hipoi_ntband with Ital delights available from @kamilaskitchen_ja @7:00 pmShowtime early time 8:00 pm by @ojthagreat
