I finally have a second to post, so before we get too far into the year, I have to celebrate 10 years of @TheKnockturnal.

When @shainatv and I created this thing, we had no idea we’d still be doing it a full decade later. We’re beyond grateful to our family, friends, and supporters who trusted us over the years and allowed us the space to do our thing.

“Knock” has always been built on community and if you know me even a little, you’ve probably helped us in some way. Our contributors and our tribe are truly unmatched; we wouldn’t be anywhere without them. The Knockturnal was created as a space for creators to create freely, without corporate boundaries and that’s still the mission today. A truly multicultural, inclusive space to be seen.

10 years in. Still independent. Still community-first.

S/O to @twelve29group @barsys.inc for helping us to make this happen & celebrate in style! by @ojwilliams4

My friend Jelani was the definition of a true creative.

From magazines to record labels to movie studios, you could do it all, and you did. We used to joke that you were part alien, but the truth is, you were simply otherworldly.

Thank you for always picking up the call when I had a wild idea (and then somehow making it happen). For the countless brainstorming sessions that turned into masterpieces and the random side-quest adventures that still have me belly laughing today.

You were more than a creative genius, you were a true friend. Having you in my life for the last 17 years has been an absolute blessing.

Rest well, my brother. I’ll see you on the other side. To help with costs to the family please see the gofundme link in my bio. by @ojwilliams4

The Big YS, The Boss, My Accountant, aka my Grandma was one of my favorite people on this planet. She was there for every sick day, field trip, back to school shopping trip, play day request I needed. You spoiled me rotten! There wasn’t a thing we wouldn’t do for each other. It’s only been a month but I miss you real bad. 🥂Cheers to a life well lived. ♥️ by @ojwilliams4
