Rounding Up Imisi’s 1st Birthday weeeek & all I can say is Thank You God 🥹🤍

My daughter is one and I am ever so grateful that God chose me to be this precious girls mommy 🥹 ..this experience is definitely one of a kind and watching her grow has been my greatest joy. I have seen myself grow in so many different ways and experienced a new aspect of love through my baby girl. 💗 Looking forward to so many more milestones, celebrations, and adventures with my mini bestie 🥹💗

It’s a blessing to be able to experience this love. A blessing to behold this miracle. I am in awe of how magnificent God is and how perfectly He aligns every single aspect of life when you allow him to be the guide. New headshots to commence a level up on my career ladder ☺️

Endless hours of therapy under supervision. Endless hours of studying. Dozens of practice tests. Late nights and a few tears with relentless prayers, and God did it. I am overwhelmed with joy that I passed my LCSW-C exam. (on the first try too! IYKYK). No more supervision, I am now THE supervisor 😂😭😛

I am so proud to be in the mental health field. I will never shy away from the opportunity to remind people of how important it is to advocate for mental health support. When I first started out in undergrad, I often observed a BIG disconnect in people’s understanding of social workers as well as mental health professionals. Very skewed....very black and white with not enough insight. With this lack of understanding, people often assume the least about the value of a social worker. But thankful my God always assumes the MOST! These past few years have been empowering and insightful. Connecting with people, consistently elevating in my career, and consistently improving my skill set and learning so much during the process.

To my fellow social workers and mental health professionals, the work we do is special. It’s needed. It’s necessary. Keep pushing, keep expanding, keep elevating to help people who need a helping hand. Don’t be discouraged; wellness is all encompassing. Mental health education saves lives 💚
