Most fans know the Subaru BRZ GT300 is a Super GT aero-monster. But here is the wild hidden history:
For over a decade, it ran on an evolution of the vintage EJ20 turbo-four. But recently, Subaru completely flipped the script by switching to a custom 3.0L twin-turbo flat-six—secretly built with core architecture derived from the 1990s EG33 engine found in the quirky Subaru SVX!

Slow down.
But not really...Thank you everyone who keeps supporting these slow poke racers! These guys have been the epitome of slow drivers and slow cars. I didn’t realize it at the time, but starting my Legacy build wasn’t just about modifying a car. It became a long conversation that stretched across years, late nights, scraped knuckles, new friendships, and quiet moments behind the wheel.
The 2010–2014 Legacy doesn’t shout, and that subtlety is what drew me in. With early parts from @rallyinnovations and @rsrusa, I set out to explore the potential of a platform many overlooked, while keeping its soul intact.
Every modification became a lesson. Patience when parts didn’t fit as promised. Humility when work had to be redone. Satisfaction when everything finally came together and the car felt balanced, composed, and unmistakably mine. From Mag Blue @rayswheelsusa against Satin White Pearl, to custom fitting a GRB bumper, and working with @battle_aero, @ikonmotorsports, @myjapandirect, @rowen_jp, and @verusengineering, each step made the car more personal.
Looking back, it’s not about horsepower or a single mod. It’s about the journey. The Legacy stayed constant as life changed, always ready for the next idea, the next drive, the next reminder of why I started.
The fifth-gen Legacy may never chase trends, but this build was never about that. It was about intention, growth, and enjoying the process. Cheers to what will come in 2026. This has been a difficult post to create. I've been working on a passion project for many months, but scared to take the first step to share with the world. OkamiReign started out as a passion project with no clear direction made, at the time.. the thought was to create anime/anime/car stickers that I personally was passionate about. But time became less abundant, family became priority, joys of creating diminished, and I didn't want to keep selling stickers. However, I had always loved creating, drawing as a hobby and kept my artistic skills going.. especially when things are tough.
.
One thing is certain, change will always happen.
.
So OkamiReign will begin to change. A new adventure, bringing the same good things... Love for animals, anime, and automotive... With new vigor and excitement. I hope you will stay with me for this new chapter and adventure. More WIPs and teasers to come. I am open to listening and hearing from everyone on their passion project. Here's the first step of Kiba, our little wolf... Who would visit all our friends.
