it’s a privilege to come before the father with quiet confidence and holy boldness. before the desire to pray ever stirred within your heart, Christ had already spoken your name before the father. before your frail voice reached heaven… His perfect voice had already interceded on your behalf. because of Christ our prayers rise as a pleasing fragrance before God so may we never wonder whether we are welcomed. we cannot ask too much …nor too often ,nor with too much earnestness for the father delights to hear the prayers of His children through His beloved Son. how could we ever doubt His love when He has already given us His greatest gift?

prayer is not just asking—it is communion. it is the soul returning to the one for whom it was made and finding that He has been waiting all along. we do not need a special formula or perfect words, only hearts willing to become still before Him. and as we draw near, He gently gathers us to Himself. in His presence we are not only heard; we are received, loved, and transformed.

He has been continually stripping me down to simplicity. jesus wants your tears… your honesty, your realness & mess. to Him, your vulnerability is beautiful because it’s an indication that we are in need of Him.
we have grown too comfortable in the safety of western christianity too fluent in appearances while our hearts quietly starve. there comes a point where we must stop stacking our emotions in hidden places and calling it strength when all along we were slowly making idols of our pain.

for He is the One who knows the heart because He is the One who formed it. the more I fall in love with the man of love, the more I realize I know nothing at all because Jesus Himself is everything. so I will pour my love upon Him just like lovers do. all my days. by @okaykimora
