Healing Girl Update # idk anymore: Theres been so much turmoil in my life this year it's almost indescribable. However, I thought I would try to share something happier I guess.

I had my FFS Sept 16th. I spent almost 10hrs on the table getting every single procedure available, bc I don't half ass fuckin ANYTHING. My surgical team was incredible and there were no issues. My recovery was another monster. I was in and out of the hospital, almost died a couple times, 13hrs of my heart stopping over and over in the PACU (my body does NOT like opiates), and spent 5 days in intensive care. Today I was brushing my teeth and I looked myself in the mirror and I felt my brain and my eyes adjust.

For the FIRST time I saw my face as a whole, not how my dysphoria WANTS me to see it, and I was SO happy 😭 bc wtf how did I get here.

Yes I'm healing scars rn and I look like Frankensteins bride but IDC I LOVE me now 🥲. People have told me this is usually a private thing but I WANT to share it all with you. I want other girls to see that anyone can do this, especially if you seek out the help that's available to us all 🖤

I went through the government and healthcare channels. I did my research. I went to renowned hospitals within my state insurance network, not some private surgery clinic that would've wheeled me out to the curb. I pushed and advocated for myself when nobody else would. You can do it too, IF it's what you want. Everyone's journey is different 🖤🖤🖤🖤 by @okcaseydiggs

I love you so much, and I will never forgive you for leaving me here without you asshole. I don't think I will ever have the words to describe how much you meant to me. I truly think you are one of the best people to ever live. I would resent you for going months without seeing me or talking to me, but I now know it was because I was sharing you with so many wonderful people. I am so grateful that you touched so many lives and how much better those lives became because of you. You were such a jerk, there were some days where it felt like your life mission was torturing me, but I would endure indescribable things just for one more day. I think I was only ever funny, because you would laugh. When I felt like I was floating away into the abyss, you were the one that held me down, not gravity. I'm so grateful for all the laughter, confidence, and strength you gave me all these years. I truly don't know if it's possible, but I don't have a choice, so don't worry, I'll take it from here. You'll always be with me in the drift 🖤 by @okcaseydiggs
