What happens during two weeks at OIDF?

It isn't just about learning choreography.

It's about exploring new ideas, refining technique, collaborating across cultures, and growing as artists.

Every class, rehearsal, and conversation becomes part of the creative process.

This Saturday, we invite you to experience the culmination of that journey.

What an incredible evening.

The 2026 OIDF Choreography Showcase brought together 16 choreographers representing Oklahoma alongside artists from across the United States and internationally, each sharing a unique creative voice on the stage at Oklahoma Contemporary.

Thank you to every choreographer, performer, collaborator, volunteer, and audience member who made this night so memorable. We are especially grateful to Oklahoma Contemporary for hosting this year's showcase and to The Kirkpatrick Foundation for their generous support of OIDF and the arts in our community.

Here's a glimpse of an unforgettable evening of dance.

Tomorrow, OIDF begins.

For the past several months, our team has been preparing to welcome dancers from across the country and around the world to Oklahoma City for two weeks of training, creativity, and community.

At the heart of that vision is our Artistic Director, Austin Hartel.

A former soloist and co-choreographer with Pilobolus Dance Theater, Fulbright Scholar, and internationally recognized choreographer, Austin has spent his career creating meaningful artistic experiences through performance, education, and collaboration.

His vision for OIDF has always been simple: bring exceptional artists together, challenge dancers to grow, and build a community where everyone belongs.

Tomorrow, that vision comes to life.

Welcome to OIDF 2026.
