"My ancestors live in me." by @okello_odong

Back in the 90s, when we were mere kids starting school, our village had two options: Awere Primary School, where most kids went, and Odek Primary School, where my siblings and I decided to go because our Dad taught there.

You see, in those days, nursery school wasn't a thing in a village setting. So, we started school early and tagged along with our Dad every morning like tiny minions on a mission, even though we were practically not old enough for primary school since we wouldn't pass the test of reaching your ears with the opposite hand.

We tagged along with him every morning, blending in as regular pupils until our little legs couldn't handle it anymore. I'll never forget my first day with him when I got tired and burst into tears, sobbing to the teacher, "I want my Dad!" Dramatic, I know.

Off I went, marching through, to the staffroom and every single classroom, tears flowing, and my nose running like a leaky faucet. Eventually, I found him teaching in P. 7 class, and there I was, a total mess, clinging to his trousers like my life depended on it. He got me cleaned up and composed before the class continued like a hilarious family comedy. We tangled through clutched on his trouser as the class continued.

The school breaks were especially epic; while other kids ran home to get lunch or buy from ladies selling close by, I would have a stroll with Dad for some soda and Riham Biscuits in the trading center.

Looking back now, those fuzzy moments were pure gold. It was like having a backstage pass to the world of education. Being the teacher's kid meant being the center of attention, getting all the love and, well, some unnecessary attention too—from both teachers and fellow students.

But hey, I wouldn't trade those fuzzy, fun moments for anything else!

Since no one wants to say anything about it, I will, "@[581568922:Biyi Bandele] and @[507089727:Kenneth Gyang] murdered the hell outta Blood Sisters series."

Almost perfect in every aspect; production design, cinematography, and the writers went all-in with some audacious writings.

Did I mention I like Inspector Joe a.k.a Chicago?

I attended the premiere of this movie in Gulu and it gave me some very good laughs watching boys I know kick njass and throw punches.

Kitgum people, let's link up tomorrow and catch this homebaked flick and give support to Northhood Production Gulu

"We spend a lot of time trying to organize the world.

We build clocks and calenders and we try and predict the weather.

But what part of our lives is truly under our control?" by @okello_odong

Over the course of my twenty-whatever long life, I have come to believe that we're bound forever to those with whom we share blood. And while we may not choose our family, that bond can be our deepest regret or our greatest strength. My brother has never been anything short of greatness. by @okello_odong

What if we choose to exist purely in a reality of our own making?
Does that render us insane?

And if it does, isn't that better than a life of despair? by @okello_odong

On this day in 1994, I was not only tired but extremely curious about what the next life would look like, I somehow knew the "planet" I was living, wasn't the end.

I was ready to leave the mini biological "planet" on earth that I had lived for approximately 9 months, which, on that "planet", is close to 90 years. For time in there, is much slower than it is here. A month there is equal to 10 years.

So, I packed whatever was necessary for the journey and got me a good night's sleep ready for the transition the following day, 2nd October.

On the 2nd, October, I hit the inter-dimensional portal. Fun ride, though it makes your face scrambly - the most shocking thing is of course losing your luggage, clothes in the wild ride, and popping out naked.

Don't mind me, I'm just f**king around, I'm just trying to say on such a day 27 years ago, I was born. 😂😂😂🥂🥂🥂 by @okello_odong
