Busy does not always mean balanced. This week, I made room for a little fun, good food, and time to recharge.

Welcome to Friday Faves, round six. Here’s what is keeping this Tampa family photographer fed, entertained, inspired, and somewhat balanced. 😂

💆🏾 Balancing: The AnyDay Funday at Safety Harbor Resort and Spa. Sometimes stepping away from the schedule is exactly what I need.

🍛 Eating: Curry duck. “Scrumdili umptious” does not even begin to cover it.

📺 Watching: Coven Academy. A supernatural series with short episodes? This was made for me.

🎧 Listening: “Bad Times” by Imael Angel. This song is everywhere, and now it is stuck in my head too. 😂

🖼 Loving: Creating custom wall art for Tampa Bay families. Seeing a family’s connection become meaningful artwork for their home never gets old.

Which one are you choosing first: the spa day, curry duck, supernatural binge, catchy song, or family artwork?

Save this for your next Tampa Bay day off, and send it to the person who needs a break with you. taken in Tampa, Florida by @okeyemitchell

I’m starting to think Friday Faves says more about me than I planned. 😂

This week includes a fizzy drink, a Tampa dessert worth going back for, feel-good TV, music for clearing out the head trash, and one little personality I could photograph all day.

Welcome to Friday Faves, round five, with a little more life behind the camera of a Tampa family photographer.

🥤 Drinking: Maison Perrier French Kiss in Peach & Cherry. Light, tasty, and just sweet enough.

🍨 Eating: The Jujube Apple Tart at Hales Blackbrick in Hyde Park. If you’re looking for a Tampa dessert to try, add this one to your list.

📺 Watching: Heartland. I binged the latest season because I will always make time for a good feel-good show.

🎧 Listening: Shift to Abundance. Sometimes I need help clearing my mind, getting rid of the head trash, and finding my focus again.

🖼 Loving: This custom wall art triptych. So much personality in one little body. This is why I love turning children’s portraits into artwork families can enjoy in their homes every day.

Which favorite are you choosing first?

Your child doesn’t have to sit perfectly still to make a portrait worth keeping.

They get to move, play, and show me who they are. Those little expressions and bursts of personality are what I want your family to remember.

That’s what I love about family portraits. I photograph the connection between you and your children, then help you turn the images you love into artwork for your home. If you’re thinking about fall family portraits in Tampa, this is a lovely time to start planning.

What’s one thing your child does right now that you never want to forget? I’d love to hear it. taken in Tampa, Florida by @okeyemitchell

Family portraits should not feel like one more thing you have to figure out.

What should everyone wear? Will the kids cooperate? What happens after the session?

You do not have to plan it alone.

I help you choose what to wear, guide your family throughout the session, and turn the images you love into custom artwork for your home. You can focus on being present while I take care of the details.

Swipe through for answers to some of the questions I hear most often as a Tampa family photographer.

This week’s Friday Faves is a mix of trying something new, getting back on track, and making time to reset.

Welcome to round four—a little look at life behind the camera of a Tampa family photographer.

🥤 Drinking: The Golden Hour Smoothie from Raining Berries in South Tampa. My first visit definitely won’t be my last.

📚 Reading: Pitch Secrets A to Z by Dr. Forbes Riley. I’m mixing up my usual reading, and I’m excited to dive into this one.

🍳 Eating: A simple breakfast while working through a weight-loss challenge. Nothing fancy—just me trying to stay consistent.

📺 Watching: Schitt’s Creek. It’s my go-to background show while I work, and yes, I may have watched it seven times. 😂

🎧 Listening: Sleep Sounds on Apple Music. I needed something to help clear my mind and recenter—and it definitely helped.

💗 Loving: The entire vibe at Raining Berries South Tampa. Good drinks, a fun atmosphere, and so many cute details.

Now it’s your turn: Which one are you choosing—the smoothie, the book, the breakfast, the comfort show, the sleep sounds, or the South Tampa café?

Tell me below, save this for later, and share your latest favorite with me. ✨ taken in Raining Berries - South Tampa by @okeyemitchell

Okay, Friday Faves is officially becoming a thing. 😂

This week had a little bit of everything—good food, a fun read, a strong drink, and a reminder I didn’t know I needed.

Here’s round three and what I’ve been enjoying between photographing Tampa families and creating custom wall art.

🦞 Eating: I’m really going to miss these lobster bites. Now I have to figure out how to make them myself.

📚 Reading: Rhapsodic by Laura Thalassa. This was a fun one. I really can’t get enough of supernatural stories.

🥃 Drinking: I don’t drink often, but when I do, it needs to be good. This one was.

📺 Watching: I only wanted something easy to watch. Instead, Sullivan’s Crossing decided to send me a whole message. 😂

🎧 Listening: “Safe Haven” by Genyee. An ad actually recommended something I needed to hear.

🖼 Loving: Creating custom artwork for families. I love seeing children’s portraits become meaningful wall art that families can enjoy every day.

Now it’s your turn.

Which one caught your attention—and what should I try next week?

Save this for a little Friday inspiration, and share it with someone who always has the best recommendations. ✨ taken in Tampa, Florida by @okeyemitchell

Apparently, my personality this week is a Hugo Spritz, supernatural mysteries, crispy rice, and gelato macarons. 😂

Welcome to Friday Faves, round two—a little look at what I’m enjoying when I’m not photographing Tampa families or editing portraits.

🍹 Drinking: The Hugo Spritz at Howard & Platt. Refreshing and worth ordering again.

📚 Reading: Written in Red by Anne Bishop. I’m revisiting the series for its incredible world-building.

🍣 Eating: Tuna crispy rice. It completely hit the spot.

📺 Watching: Widow’s Bay on Apple TV. A recommendation that quickly became a binge-watch.

🎧 Listening: Lo-Fi Breeze. Chill music always helps me settle into the editing zone.

🍨 Loving: Gelato macarons from Amorino Tampa. Because why choose just one?

Now I want to hear yours:

Which are you choosing first—the spritz, the book, the food, the show, the playlist, or the gelato macarons?

Plot twist: photographers have lives outside of photography. 😂

Welcome to my Friday Faves—a little look at what I’m enjoying this week.

A Midnight Marg that was tastylicious.
A book reminding me to appreciate how far I’ve come.
Elk from Hales Blackbrick that was absolutely fire.
A show that surprised me.
A playlist keeping me motivated.
And another trip to the movies.

These favorites may seem random, but they’re little pieces of what makes me…me.

And since my work is all about celebrating people exactly as they are, it only feels right to let you see a little more of me too.

Now I want to hear yours:

Which are you choosing—the cocktail, the book, the food, the show, the playlist, or the movies? by @okeyemitchell

There’s something special about holding your family’s story in your hands.

One day, these photographs will mean even more than they do today. They’ll hold the love, connection and little moments that made you a family.

Do you have a family album you still love looking through?

Friends, I have the opportunity for a few of my portraits to be considered for a national art show this Fall, and I’m #soexcited.

So, I’m looking for 4 to 5 kiddos to photograph, preferably 3-10 years or a sassy 2yr old...I'm always up for a challenge. 😉 These will be simple, Black and White personality portraits that celebrate who they are right now. Similar to the one here.

If your child is a good fit, comment “me” below or send me a message. You can also tag someone who may love this!

Okay, I’m officially in love with this.

Simple background. Black and white. All personality.

There’s something about stripping everything away and just seeing them exactly as they are right now.

I have something special opening soon for a few kids, and I can’t wait to share it.

Parents, what is your child’s signature expression right now?

Giant grin, serious stare, side-eye, scrunched nose, missing-tooth smile or full comedian?

I’m convinced every kid has one. 😁
