There is always more to learn in life, and growth in the field of storytelling photography is essential for every young creative. Every experience presents an opportunity to improve, refine our craft, and see the world from a different perspective.

Over the past few weeks, I have been privileged to work with the creative team of the TICC Imole Campaign Council alongside my mentor and good brother, Kareem Olalekan “Hamkaz.” This journey has opened my eyes to many valuable lessons about dedication, teamwork, time management, sacrifice, and the power of visual storytelling.

Travelling across different towns, I witnessed people from all walks of life united with one voice and one purpose, passionately supporting the re-election of His Excellency, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke. Seeing the energy, commitment, and love from the people has been an unforgettable experience that has inspired me both as a photographer and as a young creative.

To my dependable leader, an exceptional father figure, and my principal, MHR @bamidele_salam_, thank you for making this journey memorable and enjoyable. Your encouragement, leadership, and unwavering support mean so much to me. May Almighty God continue to bless you abundantly, strengthen you, and cause His light to shine upon your life always, sir. I am sincerely grateful.

Over the years, I have admired and learned from the remarkable photographers who documented the administrations of Osun State Governors. Every time I came across their photographs, I found inspiration to keep improving my craft. Today, I sincerely appreciate the outstanding work they have all done.

* Former Governor Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola’s Official Photographer, Dolapo Julius.

* Former Governor Alhaji Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola’s Official Photographer, Jamiu Omookose Olaj.

* Our current Governor, His Excellency Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke Official Photographer, Kareem Olalekan @official_hamkaz.”

History will be kind to you all. Thank you for setting a standard of excellence and inspiring the next generation of storytellers. May God continue to bless you and prosper the works of your hands.

When we talk about a true believer who never takes God for granted, my principal, Rep. Bamidele Salam, is someone whose life continually reflects a heart of gratitude.

He does not joke with giving thanks to God. Before he begins his work, in the midst of his responsibilities, and even after the days activities, he makes time to appreciate God for His faithfulness and blessings.

Just a few hours before his birthday, he dedicated eight hours to praising and thanking God for the wonderful blessings God has continually shown him and his family, and for the people of Ede South, Ede North, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency.

In his country home in Awo, it was a moment of worship, reflection, thanksgiving and appreciation to the Almighty for another year of life and service.

A heart that recognizes where every blessing comes from.

Ayo Olopon: A Game, A Memory, A Smile.

For many of our elders, Ayo Olopon is more than just a traditional game. It is a beautiful reminder of their younger days, a familiar pastime that brings back memories, laughter, friendship and the simple joys of life.

At the International Day of Older Persons celebration, Rep. Bamidele Salam made sure Ayo Olopon was part of the programme. As the elders gathered around the board, the atmosphere came alive with smiles, playful competition and laughter. For a moment, it was not about age or worries it was simply about having fun and reliving cherished memories.

Sometimes, caring for our elders goes beyond medical support and welfare packages. It is also about creating moments that make them feel young again, valued, included and happy.

And on this day, Ayo Olopon did exactly that.

For the past few days, heavy rainfall has swept across Osun State, but in Osogbo, the rain has told a much more painful story.

What should have been a blessing from nature has, in some communities, turned into a nightmare. Floodwaters have taken over roads, entered homes, destroyed belongings, and forced families to leave the places they call home.

Behind every flooded house is a family with memories, dreams, and a life suddenly interrupted. For some, it is not just water they are fighting it is the fear of losing everything they have worked so hard to build.

As the rain falls, Osogbo reminds us that flooding is more than a weather story. It is a human story. A story of vulnerability, resilience, and the urgent need for safer drainage, better planning, and collective action.

Tonight, many families are simply hoping for the waters to recede and for tomorrow to bring them a reason to rebuild.

May the rain cease, may the waters go down, and may every displaced family find safety.
