The Oklahoma State University Animal Science Alumni Association is seeking an Executive Director to provide strategic leadership and operational management for the organization. This independent contractor position (July 1 – June 30, renewable at the discretion of the Board) reports directly to the ASAA Board of Directors and serves as the primary liaison between alumni, the Department of Animal & Food Sciences, faculty, students, and partners. The Executive Director will lead alumni engagement, membership growth, fundraising initiatives, event management, governance, strategic planning, communications, and fiscal oversight. Key responsibilities include planning the annual Cowboy Tailgate and Holiday Auction & Gala Reunion, securing sponsorships and auction items, coordinating quarterly board meetings, and overseeing marketing and communication efforts. Qualified applicants should have a background in Animal & Food Sciences or a related field, with experience in nonprofit leadership, alumni relations, event planning, fundraising, and board governance preferred. Strong communication skills, organizational ability, financial oversight experience, and comfort with digital tools and marketing design are essential.
