Phi Gamma Delta at Oklahoma State has selected For the Love of Orphans as our 2026 philanthropy.

This year’s fundraising will sponsor one student’s college education in full.

For the Love of Orphans is a Texas-based nonprofit supporting Mansa Fountain of Blessings, a orphan care center in Mansa, Zambia. The center covers school fees, uniforms, materials and shoes for grades 1 through 12, and serves over 430 meals per week to more than 72 children. It runs tutoring and Bible study three days a week and teaches vocational skills in many trades. For students who complete secondary school, the organization funds higher education. It currently sponsors twelve students in college: four in nursing, three training as clinical officers, four in teaching, and one in a skilled trade. Many of these people grew up at the center, some being there for more than 10 years.

Our goal is to sponsor college for a girl named Doureen.
She has been an orphan for eleven years. In that time, she has supported herself and worked steadily toward an education, with no family resources behind her and no one in her family having gone before her. There was no expectation that she would reach this point, and no path laid out for her to follow. This year she begins college as the first person in her family ever to do so. She is studying to become a nurse, a degree she will use to give back to a medical community that is overwhelmed.

Funds raised by our chapter this year go directly to Doureen’s tuition rather than to a general fund.

Event schedule to follow.

This past weekend, we had the opportunity to welcome 42 new members (not all pictured) into our chapter during our Annual Summer Recruitment Signing Day at O’Brate Stadium.

We’re incredibly excited about this class and the future of our chapter. A huge thank you goes to our recruitment team for the countless hours they invested this summer to continue building our brotherhood with outstanding young men. Special recognition to our Head of Recruitment, Will Rose, along with our regional recruitment heads: Tyler Blanco (Tulsa), Luke Goodbary (Oklahoma City), and Hutch Burns (Texas). Your hard work made this year’s success possible.

We also want to recognize our New Member Educators, Chance Milgate, Will Hodson, and Caleb Kaercher, who will play a vital role in leading and developing this new member class.

We’re looking forward to seeing what this group accomplishes and can’t wait for the year ahead.
