Some lessons this year didn’t come from books or plans.
They came from people, from relationships, from moments where I had to pause and ask myself hard questions.🙃🤨

I learned that love is not always the same.🧐
I learned that walking away is sometimes necessary.
I learned that choosing yourself is not selfish.

Most importantly, I learned to listen when God leads.

Growth isn’t always loud.
Sometimes it’s simply having the courage to choose peace.

Through it all, one thing remains my priority:
God first. Then myself. Then everything else.

Still learning. Still growing. Grateful for the lessons.

Some flavors don’t leave you.

I remember the first time I tasted cumin — curious, a little unsure, but intrigued. The aroma stayed with me. The taste stayed in my memory.

Few weeks ago, while craving the Atagungu rice I used to make back in uni, that memory came back. Same one-pot rice. Same grounded pepper heat. But this time, I let spices sit with it, alongside caramelized onions, herbs, and quiet layers of spice.

This tray? Just spices measured, tested, adjusted.
A work in progress.
A recipe in development.

Cooking lately has been about listening to memory and letting it evolve.

Still testing. Still learning. Still building. 🍚✨

Doing something new always feels a little cringe at first. But I’m learning that growth rarely feels polished in the beginning.

So this is me choosing discomfort… on purpose. Plus If it feels scary, it probably means I’m stretching.

2025 looked like small wins, lessons, pauses, and progress.

Food has always been part of my language.
Even in the seasons when I paused intentional cooking, I was still tasting, observing, learning, and paying attention, quietly preparing.
