There was a point in my life when I wondered why challenges wouldn't give me a break.

One challenge after another.

I started asking:

Am I doing something wrong?
Did I choose the wrong career?
Maybe I'm the problem.

Then I remembered the Bible's teaching about foundations: everyone builds, but eventually, what they build will be tested.

That changed my perspective.

Maybe the test isn't proof that the building is wrong.
Maybe it's feedback on the foundation.

Think about constructing a building.

Would you rather discover a weakness in the foundation while you're still building—or after you've added several floors?

The test gives you that information early.

It shows you the cracks.

It tells you what needs to be strengthened.

Maybe the career isn't wrong.

Maybe the way you're building your career needs to change.

Maybe the dream isn't wrong.

Maybe the foundation underneath it needs work.

So I've started seeing some challenges differently.

Not every challenge is a sign to stop building.

Sometimes, it's an opportunity to inspect the foundation, fix what is weak, and build better.

Because the goal isn't to build a life that is never tested.

I missed an opportunity in 2018, and it still haunts me till today. 😩

I had just finished NYSC and was working as a Mathematics teacher.

One day, my barber told me:

«“Bode, come and buy land in Atan-Ota. I bought one for ₦100k recently.”»

By the time he approached me, it was already ₦200k.

I was interested.

But I kept thinking:

“It’s not my priority right now.”

So I didn't buy.

Fast-forward to today…

That same Atan-Ota has changed significantly, and land prices are nowhere near what they were back then.

Sometimes I ask myself:

“What if I had just bought one plot?” 😭

That experience taught me something:

Sometimes, we don't miss opportunities because we can't afford them.

We miss them because we keep saying, “I'll do it later.”

Of course, this doesn't mean you should rush into every property someone brings to you.

Do your research.
Verify the property.
Understand the location.
Then act when you can afford to.

Because while you're waiting, things can change.

This is one of the reasons I take real estate seriously today.

I don't just want to sell you land.

I want to help you understand what you're buying and make better property decisions.

Last Friday, I decided to teach my students how to play the beat of the National Anthem.

I noticed that the girls seemed a little left out when it came to activities like this, so I made a conscious effort to get them involved.

At first, it honestly looked impossible. 😅

Some of them were reluctant, and we had to try different approaches before they finally started getting the hang of it.

But eventually, they did it. 🙌🏽

It may look like a simple performance, but for me, it was more than that.

Sometimes, all a student needs is someone to say, “You can do this. Try again.”

Here’s us doing it in our own little way. ❤️🎶
