Olamide Ogunade’s paintings offer images that seem to emerge from the past. The image thus becomes a form of survival, and the echo of memory is amplified by the artist’s use of bubbles scattered across the canvas: ‘each bubble reflects a memory, a moment of stillness amidst the chaos of life’

Alex Pinna’s sculptures introduce a more essential and universal dimension. The figures presented by the artist seem to transcend the contingent, approaching the nature of an archetype. They are silent presences, at once recognizable and enigmatic, in which the particular gives way to the essential. Here, the ‘freeze frame’ becomes a suspension of form: the body no longer tells an individual story but seems to harbor something primordial, a deeper, almost collective memory.

These works explore the quiet dialogue between presence and pressure - moments that exist beneath composed exteriors. The figures remain still, yet the atmosphere around them is in constant tension.
The bubbles, as always, reflect fragile states - emotions, expectations, identities - suspended, but never permanent.
