What a year!

It’s that time again for our annual end of year summary! And once again, what a year it’s been at the Spot!✨🐽

From being named as @telegraph best pub in Gloucestershire in January, 2 weeks closed for renovations in February, loads of live music, pub quizzes and food nights in March & April to one of our best ever beer festivals in May!

We were named in the British Airways Highlife magazine as one of the best 36 pubs in the whole country! Went on trips out to Bristol, Worcester & Cheltenham! We even brewed our own exclusive beer with @bristolbeerfactory in November! It’s been a great year, topped off with a brilliant winter beer festival & a crazy Christmas!

We want to say a HUGE thank you to everybody who continues to support us! We’re so lucky to have the community that we have!🍻🎄🍻

And we’re going to finish off with an announcement!

We are pleased to officially say that we have been named as Dursley & District CAMRA’s pub of the year for 2026! This is a real honour and now enters us into the running for Gloucestershire pub of the year later in 2026!🍻

Here’s to everyone who supports us, drinks with us, eats with us and loves the Old Spot! Here’s to a cracking 2025 and an even better 2026!

We're right on the Cotswold Way, surrounded by wonderful walks with views stretching over the Severn Vale. The Spot is the perfect place for a lunch stop, a coffee or one of our fine real ales. Dogs & boots always welcome.... by @old_spot_inn

Another beautiful Sip & Paint at @old_spot_inn last night

I genuinely can’t believe people still come to these😂
Every time I set one up, there’s a little part of me that wonders if anyone will book... and every single time you prove me wrong.

Watching a room full of people switch off, have a laugh, get creative and leave with something they’re proud of will never never get old. It’s such a privilege to be a part of that.

Thank you to every single person who came, supported me, brought a friend, shared my posts or simply believed in what I’m building - so grateful! Thankyou to The Old Spot for being fab hosts as always.
