Hard to put into words what happened this past weekend during my debut for @thegardensofbabylon festival in Amsterdam. A lot of screaming in these videos, a lot of love, a lot of dancing, a lot of sweating, a lot of smiling. That’s the formula that makes for one of my favourite performances ever 🤍

Heading back to New York sooner than I expected on May 25th to join my favourite guys @madotamusic in what is slowly becoming a summer tradition for us 🌻

Last month we organized a fundraiser to help raise money for Palestine via @thepcrf. I am so grateful to everyone that donated and for a couple of notable people that were extremely generous in getting us to exceed our goal and raise over $15,000 🙏🙏🤍🤍🤍

Every small step counts. Every person that speaks up keeps the flame of hope burning. We still have faith in humanity and we still have hope in a future where Palestinians have a place in this world and are free from this inhumane brutality they have experienced for generations.

It was not easy to host this event in New York. We faced a lot of friction in making it happen and we experienced vile and harsh attacks that were dumbfounded and nonsensical. But we continued and I am so glad we did because it was a beautiful night gathering people from all different belief systems and coming together to celebrate their commonality, humanity 🤍🇵🇸 taken in New York, New York by @oldcity_official

Farewell New York 🤍

Seven years ago I moved to my dream city. I found my rhythm here - and with it, my passion for music. I am eternally grateful to the friends that inspired me, never made me second guess my dreams and pushed me to pursue my passion. Spontaneity is where all the magic happens and New York is flooded with it.

As I close this chapter, I embrace the next. Taking every memory (and scar) with me.

Last week I spoke to Gospel about wanting to create a special night before I leave. The only place that made sense to do so was at Gospel, where it all really began for Old City.

I would love to invite everyone that has shaped this experience for me in New York to join me on Friday March 29th for a special Farewell Extended Set at Gospel’s Loft venue. What makes this night even more dear to my heart is that Gospel and I will both be donating a portion of the proceeds as humanitarian aid to help Palestinian families on the ground in Gaza 🇵🇸 Old City was always about harmonizing different genres, languages and cultures as one. Music can create those bridges for our community. I’m always sure of that, even in the darkest of days.

I leave you with a collection of videos at Gospel rewinding time over the years. The last video is the first track we ever opened with (back when it was a duo), and the second to last is my first experience getting harassed for literally 10 mins while playing and not flinching an inch 😂 and the others are some of the videos I found that try to capture the electric energy of the crowd that made these nights so fucking good.
