A long awaited post.
July this year our long campaign of prepping a group of talented women for the 2024 Underwater Hockey Age Group World Championships came to an end. We ventured into unknown territory, smashed any obstacle that tried to derail us and came out on top winning the tournament undefeated.
This campaign has taught me a lot on a personal and coaching level, there are many who worked tirelessly in the background to help us get here but a quick shout out to @clairegeorge and @georgiachild for being an amazing coach, manager and mentor to this group of young women. @erae003 for all your background assistance and being an amazing person and mentor, and of course the amazing @alicejwilkinson for holding the fort at home, looking after our 2 boys whilst also supporting me and my sporting goals. I look forward to seeing where life takes this group of amazing women, especially knowing they have paved the way for the next generation of young women coming through. The future of uwh in NZ is strong and I'm glad I could be a part of the adventure whilst having the privilege of getting my name on the trophy as a coach. taken in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia by @olddog_notrix

Leshgo! Back to a new pb on half pyramid sets, 97.5 for 5, 102.5 for 5 then 105 for 5 on flat bench. This shit definitely gets harder when your older but I know how my body works so much better now from trial and error so win win 💪

Also don't forget to support your mates where you can, happy to rock the fitness portal singlet 🏋️ by @olddog_notrix

Coaching the Auckland women's B team for regionals was a great start to the year, thoroughly enjoyed working with this amazing bunch of ladies. Definitely some lessons learnt on all accounts and can't wait for the next tournament for the year. taken in Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre by @olddog_notrix
