I didn’t make these. My students did. 🥹

18 bakers from all over the country have grabbed my Pie Pop Success Bundle so far (the latest one just last night). And 7 of them are now in my private Facebook group swapping tips, showing off batches, and asking questions in real time.

This guide is everything I wish I had when I started: tool checklists, step-by-step photos, and five filling recipes. But the group? That’s where the magic happens.

If you’ve been thinking about adding pie pops to your menu or just want to impress people at your next cookout, the link’s in bio 🥧

Happy World Chocolate Day 🍫

This cookie-chocolate bar trend is everywhere and I had to try it.

Cookie dough baked right in the mold, chocolate piped into the gaps, chilled, and popped out as one bar.

Comment LIST and I’ll DM you my favorites list, which includes these silicone chocolate molds ✨#worldchocolateday taken in Crestwood, Kentucky by @oldhamcountysmallbatch

Hi foodie friends! I’m Jennifer in Crestwood, Ky (Yep, that’s in Oldham County) just outside of Louisville. I would love to share some interesting facts about me since you’re here!
✨My story begins with an Easy Bake oven as a kid…anyone have one of those? I have always loved baking and culinary adventures growing up through travel with my family.
✨My two degrees work quite well together in my work (BA in art studio and AS in Baking and Pastry Arts) On my best days, I would like to say that I am an artist and food is my medium, especially chocolate.
✨Professional experience ranges anywhere between being a head baker at a coffee shop to PM Banquets at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago
✨There was even a time where I co-owned a ladies clothing boutique. My love of retail and beautiful displays comes out in every one of my products. I’ll admit that I am a sucker for really clever packaging.
✨Individual treats are what I make best, with a focus on all things chocolate. I also love to make pie pops Spring through Fall. Food on a stick is just fun, right?!
✨I started my own Small Batch journey in 2020 when hot cocoa bombs were in high demand. My first holiday season consisted only of gourmet hot cocoa bombs. I became what’s called a “cottage baker” and that means that I am a licensed baker out of my home kitchen.
✨While all of the above may be interesting, more importantly, I am a wife, mom of two amazing kids (a college-age boy and elementary-age girl), and am an unapologetic Christ-follower.
✨I’m also fabulously 50 and recently decided to grow out my natural hair color ….trying my best to embrace the gray!
✨My heart desires to share my treats with locals while sharing what I have learned in my life experiences with anyone across the globe through digital products. I love what I do and am flexible enough to still be a mom…life is grand.
✨So do tell me…what do we have in common? So glad you’re here! by @oldhamcountysmallbatch

Nobody shows you this part.

The sticky dough that won’t cooperate. The filling that oozes where it shouldn’t. The crimping that looks nothing like the Pinterest version.

And then somehow, out of all that mess, these come out of the oven.

Pie pops sell out at most farmers market events and I think it’s because people can taste the effort. Every single one is hand crimped, hand filled, hand decorated. From my Small Batch kitchen to your hands.

The process is never pretty. The product is worth it.

It’s July and I’m already thinking about December. 🎃

Pumpkins in the craft stores feel early — but this is the cycle of running a small bakery. By the time everyone else is planning, the good pop-up spots are taken.

So right now I’m booking fall events, starting Christmas shopping a little at a time, and looking back at what sold (and what didn’t) last year.

Not every item is a winner. I learn and adapt.

And this year? No custom or corporate orders in December. I took on too much last year and I’m not doing that again. I want to show up fully at my local events without running on empty.

Alright, be honest — who’s already counting down to caramel apple season? 🍎👇 taken in Crestwood, Kentucky by @oldhamcountysmallbatch

One pan of pie pops. One impatient moment. Straight to the floor. 😅

Now I slow down every single time. The oven isn’t going anywhere.

Drove past a lemonade stand on my way home from the grocery store. Three boys, same corner I’ve seen them before.

Was I thirsty? No.
Did I drink it? Also no.

But I pulled over anyway.

Because it’s not about the lemonade. It’s about a kid learning that if you show up, put in the work, and ask for the sale... someone might say yes.

That’s a lesson that sticks.

Next time you see a lemonade stand, stop. You might be the reason they try again tomorrow. 🍋 by @oldhamcountysmallbatch

This is what running a home bakery sounds like when you phrase it wrong 😅

Open flames. Sharp tools. Bubbling liquids. Homemade bombs. Operating out of my house.

It’s all s’mores squares, chocolate bark, and hot cocoa bombs. I promise.

Everyone asked how the chocolate fills every crack.

It’s not magic.

Pipe it in while it’s still warm.

Then tap.

The chocolate finds every gap on its own.

Low and slow melting, confident piping, and a little shake at the end.

That’s it.

700,000 views sounds fun until you read the comments.

This week reminded me why I guard what I let in.

When a video takes off, so do the trolls. The sarcasm. The people who just want to tear something down.

I’ve added a list of hidden words on my account now. But the real filter is Proverbs 4:23 — “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”

I’m grateful for the growth. I’m grateful for YOU — the ones who show up, encourage, and actually want to learn something.

The rest? Filtered. 🫶

A full piping bag has a mind of its own 🍫

When I’m drizzling white chocolate over pretzel rods, I steady the bag by placing my other hand underneath while I pipe.

Cleaner lines, less mess, and way more control.

What’s your go-to dipping or drizzling tip? 👇 taken in Crestwood, Kentucky by @oldhamcountysmallbatch

July is my slow season — and I wouldn’t have it any other way ☀️

No custom orders this week. Just beach time, family time, and a little space to breathe.

The business keeps running through digital products, affiliate sales, and brand partnerships. And I get to swap the chocolate melting machine for my laptop and plan ahead for fall.

I’ve worked holidays in professional kitchens. I know what burnout feels like. Building my bakery from home means I get to work on my terms.

Right now, my terms include sandy feet and zero alarms 🐚
