Calling all witches, weird sisters, and people who know an alarming amount about fictional women with supernatural powers.

OLB Trivia is stirring up a bubbling cauldron of questions covering witches in movies, books, folklore, and actual witchcraft. Expect everything from Practical Magic and Roald Dahl to famous covens, legendary spellcasters, and whatever else crawls out of Julianna’s grimoire.

Come dressed as your favorite witch, bring your coven, and prepare to prove that your suspiciously specific witch knowledge has finally found its purpose.

Costumes are highly encouraged. Spellcasting is optional. Turning the opposing team into frogs is considered poor sportsmanship by @oldloubrew

A huge thanks to @oldloubrew and @poisonoyvey for a great evening with so many lovely people!!! It was a pleasure meeting everyone. I am amazed at the talent and dedication that goes into cosplaying, from day one I have had the utmost respect for the art of it all. I loved seeing @lovelylilowl @ghost.hotel & @maraloo again. We will do it again.
I had a blast, except for experiencing the taste of absinthe for the 1st & very last time 😂 I’m hope more of these events happen, there is definitely a wonderful community in this fandom. By “difficult time,” we mean being forced, as responsible business owners, to eat an irresponsible amount of candy while drinking beer.

We’re conducting the final, highly scientific tastings for this year’s Halloween Candy Pairing. Some combinations delight. Some combinations offend. Some require a second tasting because we have integrity.

Taste the final lineup October 20–25: four beers, one bourbon, and five candy pairings for $25.

BIG NEWS: We changed exactly one thing and made an entire graphic about it.

Beginning now, OLB will open at 5 PM on Saturdays instead of 1 PM. We’re taking Saturday afternoons to build special experiences like brunches, amaro tastings, beer classes, new cocktail previews, and other opportunities to drink something while learning enough facts to become briefly insufferable.

Everything else stays the same, including our highly precise closing times ending in “ish.”

Do you have that half finished novel sitting in a file that hasn't been edited since 2021? Maybe you have an idea for a play that has been itching the inside of your brain since college? Perhaps two of your favorite podcast characters are playing out scenes in your dreams that need to be committed to the page before it drives you insane.

Bring them to OLB October 21st and work on them in the company of other creatives doing the same! We will start with a quick warm-up writing activity to get the connections to the muses open, then it's your time to devote to whatever moves you.
