Happy Spring!

I’ll be slingin’ sweets at @nowservingla on Saturday 4/4 from 2:30pm-5:30pm. In addition to bibingkas, I’ll be selling slices of cassava cake and biko - sticky rice with coconut and brown sugar.

And starting today, you can preorder bibingka boxes to pick up. (Just bibingkas, for now!) Each box contains 4 bibingkas for $22. The final day to preorder is Thursday 4/2. Please DM me with your order and send your payment to nananu_ka on Venmo.

Los Angeles — we’re throwing our very first INDUSTRY HANG on MONDAY, DECEMBER 1st from 11–3 at the shop, and we’re so excited to welcome our peers and colleagues to Far East Plaza in Chinatown.

Think of it as a little IRL Cyber Monday counter-programming — real people, real craft, real community 🤖

The one and only — and longtime #friendoftheshop — @jknifeimports will be in the house offering their exclusive knife-sharpening services, plus a sharp little curation of stones, tools, and knives to explore 🔪

@erikaachan — celebrated pastry chef (Dunsmoor, The Catbird Seat, Rustic Canyon, and now with our acclaimed friends @katorestaurant ⭐️) — will be debuting her collection of handmade pottery: bowls, cups, and other beautiful ceramics made just for this event 🏺

And our very own @oldmanotto of @otto_vs_jello — N/S linchpin and all-around gem — is launching @nananu.ka, his new BIBINGKA project. Think: warm, fluffy, gently sweet Filipino rice cakes baked in banana leaf. Absolute heaven, one our favorite things to eat 🇵🇭🍚

We’ll also have an expanded selection of shopworn titles (always 25% off) out for browsing, plus our usual industry discount of 10% off all books — since day one ✨
