POSTS STORIES REELS

A room full of spring blooms, curious hands, and people willing to try something new.

Recently, I created a web banner film for Mercer in Stockholm, Wisconsin — a space rooted in creativity and exploration. The footage was captured during one of their first floral workshops where guests learned to build arrangements from fresh-cut spring flowers, each one completely their own.

I’m always drawn to stories like this — places that invite people to slow down, create freely, and reconnect with the simple act of making something beautiful together.

Help me welcome Mercer to the West Coast of Wisconsin by giving them some love. Comment, like and follow along @mercer_stockholm! by @oldriverstories.co

By the Mississippi, digital clarity met Super 8 grain—
and love lived comfortably in both.

Some stories travel farther than you expect them to.

Tonight, a few frames I captured for Smiling Pelican Bakeshop found their way onto @pbswisconsin

It’s a strange, beautiful thing — watching something that started small and local drift into living rooms far beyond where it began.

A few quiet frames, a story carried a little farther. Grateful.

Congratulations to @sandrajthielman and many other local business owners on a lovely feature on tonight’s episode of @mainstreetstv featuring the @thewestcoastofwisconsin

It’s always about the person.
The musician. The florist. The photographer. The jewelry artist.
The rest is just evidence.

There’s something about beginnings that feels a lot like standing at the river’s edge — equal parts unknown and certain. //
I’ve been reflecting on the past month or so since I last showed up here, and I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.
Launching Old River Stories Co. in January — especially in the quiet, tender days after welcoming our baby — felt like a leap. But it was the kind of leap that felt steady. Like stepping into a current you know you’re meant to follow.
In the weeks since, I’ve sat across from so many of you — over coffee, over screens, over long voice memos — listening to the stories you hope to tell this year. Word travels the way water does — quietly, steadily, carried by community. And that’s exactly how this company is growing.
We are so grateful. For every conversation. Every referral. Every bit of encouragement. For this community that has our back.

Thank you for helping this dream find its footing. We are simultaneously honored and humbled to be planted here.

Behind the Lens // Old River Stories Co. is a reflection of my own journey…

Living along the banks of the Mississippi River for the past decade has not only inspired my craft; it’s where many of the most meaningful chapters of my life have been written. It’s where I met my husband and found deep companionship, grew steadily in my faith, graduated college with a sense of accomplishment, bought our first home and made it our own, built a small business from the ground up, and now joyfully raise our son surrounded by the sweetest community of neighbors.

As a filmmaker, I’m drawn to stories that feel honest, grounded, and human. My work is shaped by years of listening—paying attention to quiet moments, shared history, and the places that form us. Whether I’m creating films for individuals, families, or mission-driven organizations, my goal is always the same: to tell stories with care, intention, and respect, capturing not just what things look like, but what they mean.
