Fall cookies are here!

Inspired by Dorie Greenspan’s World Peace cookie, our 7-Spice Chocolate Cookies feature a brownie-textured center, a 7-spice blend and are studded with chunks of milk & dark chocolate. And we can’t forget our Fig & Fenugreek Ma’amoul, a Middle-Eastern shortbread cookie formed with a wooden mold. Ours is flavored with fenugreek and brown butter then filled with fig and finished with an apple tea glaze.

Small in form but mighty in flavor. Our Syrian Shortbread thumbprint cookies are made with ghee for tenderness, then filled with raspberry jam and rolled in vanilla-sumac sugar. You’ll find them next to our Şekerpare cookies, a soft semolina base that is soaked in a rosewater syrup and sprinkled with dried rose petal. by @oleanabuzz

To us, Bici Bici is the epitome of summer. A dessert from the Adana region of Turkey, the dish unites shaved ice, syrup, jellies and fresh fruit or powdered sugar. Our take is composed of mulberry granita (shaved ice) and labne jellies, served with basil seeds soaked in a strawberry mint syrup and garnished with fresh raspberries and fairy floss (aka Turkish cotton candy). taken in Oleana Restaurant by @oleanabuzz

Similar to a latke, it’s panfried on the flat top and served with charred Japanese eggplant and a chickpea flour battered & fried amaranth leaf (akin to spinach but with a heartier flavor. Sultan’s delight is a staple on our menu, but have you ever wondered about the name? A classic Ottoman palace dish, Sultan’s Delight (Hünkar Beğendi) literally translates to “the Sultan liked it.” Our take spotlights braised beef short rib with a tamarind glaze.
