Fall racing is calling. 🚣‍♀️🍂
New season. New goals. New teammates. And a full schedule of racing ahead.

Never rowed before? That’s okay. No experience is required to join ORC—and there are no benchwarmers here. Everyone has a seat in the boat.

TWO REGATTAS. ONE BIG WEEKEND FOR ORC! 🚣‍♀️🔥

Michigan gave us two full days of racing, some tough competition, and plenty of reasons to celebrate!

From the Heron Henley Challenge on Saturday to the Arctic Classic on Sunday, our crews showed up ready to compete. We’re seeing the hard work pay off, and it’s exciting to watch these boats find their speed.

**Weekend podium finishes**

Heron Henley Challenge
🥉 Mixed 8+

Arctic Classic
🥈 Mixed 8+
🥈 Men’s 2V/JNR 8+
🥈 Women’s 2V/JNR 8+
🥉 Women’s 1V2-
🥉 Women’s 2V/JNR 4+
🥉 Men’s Novice 4+

And beyond the medals, there were strong races, valuable lessons, and a whole lot of teammates cheering each other on.

Proud of the progress we’re seeing across our novice and varsity squads. There’s still work to do, but this group is giving us plenty to be excited about.

Two days, two regattas, and a lot of ORC pride. Michigan, thanks for a great weekend! ❤️💙

Happy National Coaches Day to the people behind the boats! 💙🚣

Thank you to our ORC coaches for the time, energy and heart you give to our athletes—teaching, challenging, encouraging and helping them become stronger both on and off the water.

We’re lucky to have you in our launch. 💙

That’s a wrap on racing in Lansing.

Seven crews down the course and a lot learned along the way.

Proud of the way our athletes competed today—and just as proud of the way they showed up for one another from the first launch to the final finish. This is how a team gets better.

Congrats to our medal winners

Lineups are set. Boats are rigged. We’re ready to race.

Seven ORC crews will take the course tomorrow at Head of the Grand—from experienced varsity lineups to novices getting their first taste of fall racing.

Different boats. Same expectation: compete hard, race for each other, and represent ORC well.

First boat off at 8:00 AM.

Let’s go, ORC. 🔥

Official first step of regatta weekend is…dress in your squad color and take apart some boats. 😂 Color Day brought the energy yesterday while the crews de-rigged and got everything ready for the road.

Today we point the trailer north. Next stop: Lansing. 🚣‍♀️

Race weekend is officially ON.

Race season is ON. First order of business: pasta. 🍝🔥

The men’s squads kicked things off last night with their pre-regatta pasta dinner. Tonight, it’s the women’s turn—and then tomorrow we load up and hit the road for Lansing.

Good food, plenty of laughs, and a chance to just hang out together before the racing begins. These are the nights that make regatta season feel like regatta season. Thank you to our fabulous parents for hosting these bonding moments!
