What brought me to Sicily was Condro’In Danza—launched in the small town of Condrò by my dear friend, the extraordinary dancer, choreographer, and Gyrotonic trainer, Elisabetta Minutoli.

Don’t ask me where I went in Sicily—
I’ve only seen Condrò and the pristine waters of Tono Beach—
but I wouldn’t trade this experience for the world.

Gyrokinesis with @elisabettaminutoli
Martha Graham technique with the luminous @miriambarbosa,
Sicilian sunsets, an incredible team of dancers,
and the slow, sensual rhythm of Sicilian life—
beyond special, Sicilian warmth and welcome. No words. I will never be the same.

I hope my dancer and non-dancer friends are already marking their calendars for summer 2026 - we see us in Condro? 🌊☀️⛱️💃🩰 taken in Condrò by @olgabergny

Unleash Your Malevolence A story of my patron, Saint Olga, Princess of Kievan Rus

Olga of Kiev, born around 925, was married at 15 to Prince Igor of Kiev, ruler of Kievan Rus. They had one son, Svyatoslav. In 945, Prince Igor was murdered—torn in half by the Drevlians, a neighboring tribe, during a dispute over tribute payments. After his death, the Drevlians proposed that Olga marry their Prince Mal to consolidate their power.

She said she accepted and invited the Drevlian emissaries to Kiev. They were carried to the city in their boat, told it was a sign of honor—only to be buried alive. Another group of esteemed Drevlian ambassadors was invited to a bathhouse and burned alive. She then organized a funeral feast for her late husband, during which her soldiers massacred thousands of Drevlians.

Finally, Olga laid siege to the Drevlian capital, Iskorosten. Under the guise of seeking peace, she requested three pigeons and three sparrows from each household as a sign of tribute. She had her soldiers attach sulfur-bound cloth to the birds and release them. When the birds returned home, the city was set ablaze. Iskorosten burned, and the Drevlians were subjugated.

Her son was only three at the time of her husband’s death, and she ruled in his place for 15 years at a time when patriarchy was the unquestioned order of the world. She established trading posts, centralized the tribute system, and strengthened the governance of Kievan Rus. She was the first ruler of Kievan Rus to convert to Christianity and was canonized as a saint, celebrated as “Equal to the Apostles” for spreading the Christian faith.

It is rare for a being to come into this world with such a tour de force of heart, brilliance, and power. And it is the greatest privilege to be a mother to this one—to be swept up in the adventure of a lifetime.
A never-ending, mesmerizing journey: from growing up barefoot in Hawaii to acting on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera. From singing at the Coronation to walking a thousand miles of the Camino alone. From hiking volcanoes in Guatemala to heading to Cambridge to study physics.
What an unbelievable ride. And with how much grace, joy, and strength in every moment.
I could not ask for more, I am deeply deeply blessed.
Happy 19th birthday, my dear love, @ingrid_elanor.l May you have the most incredible year yet!✨ by @olgabergny

Happy New Year!

2025 is here, and it’s going to be an amazing year. For the first time in 44 years, New York City didn’t have its traditional fireworks due to thunderstorms—so we’ll just have to stretch the celebration across all 365 days!

This is the Year of the Snake—a year of magic, surprises, and transformations. As we step into 2025, I’m bringing with me my lifetime passion: Tango, which I was lucky to play with again at the end of 2024 in Buenos Aires.

I wish for each of you a year filled with passion, wisdom, adventure and unforgettable moments. Cheers to 2025! by @olgabergny

Saying Goodbye to 2024...

...is not easy. This year has been incredibly rich and abundant—too much to fit into a post, or even several. But I’ll start with the crown jewel of it all: my graduation from the Oxford Saïd Business School EMBA J23 cohort.
Stellar faculty, extraordinary experiences, and most importantly, the incredible, accomplished lifelong friends and colleagues whiiio now feel like family. This journey has been beyond anything I could have imagined. It wasn’t just about academic rigor or professional growth—it was about connection and understanding that no one is alone in their desire to create, harmonize, and elevate the world we live in. Together, we’ve explored new ways to bring clarity, cohesion, and collaboration to everything we do.
I’ve traveled the world, worked side by side with this remarkable group, tackled team-building challenges, dreamed up creative projects, and shared deeply—our lives, our aspirations, and our hearts. This global network, this family, is the most precious gift of 2024. I step into 2025 as a part of this incredible global family. What else is possible? 💫 by @olgabergny

Our tree is ready for Christmas. The ornaments are from different years, different countries, and different friends —each one full of memories for all of us.

This is a very special Christmas. My children are grown up, and their paths are unfolding ahead of them with much uncertainty but also excitement. It’s the time of great change and it is special to be together. Change is both exhilarating and terrifying. That’s the salt of life—to stand in the eye of the storm and feel alive.

But Christmas is the time of quiet magic. May your Holidays be filled with gratitude, laughter and connection. 🎄💗 by @olgabergny
