MY FAVORITE CHEF FROM KOREA AT @olhsohouse IN SAN MATEO 🔥 (@poongro_official is his Jeju island pork omakase restaurant and one of my top restaurants of all time!)

I’ve been to @olhsohouse many times for their delicious table grill menu (the wooden box with different cuts of meat) but recently discovered their charcoal grill menu and was blown away. I used to be a staunch table-grill-is-always-better girl but now I prefer the live fire/charcoal grill options at @olhsohouse cause the cuts (they have whole pork jowl 한정살 which is hard to find in the Bay Area and whole short rib which is soooo good) and flavors are insane. I should’ve known cause chef @hanseongil2 is known for his charcoal grill menus in Korea (he was also asked to join culinary class wars but couldn’t due to schedule conflicts). Chef also let us try the charcoal grill lunch bowls after I raved about the charcoal grill dinner menu and y’all… those are also frickin’ incredible and highly recommend if you can make it for lunch. But honestly can’t go wrong with anything here cause chef is extremely talented (big fangirl here). Even @hoohoohoo__ and other famous Koreans have dined here 💕

They have outdoor seating on the weekend if you’re feeling charcoal grill but highly recommend reservations cause there are only a few outdoor tables. But make reservations regardless cause they get busy!
