It’s with a heavy heart that we are packing up our studios and leave the walls of @ten87studios this week. After 3 and half years of running our business, meeting some truly fine folk and turning beat club from a tiny idea to a living breathing thing, it’s been amazing to be part of the ten87 community.

Thank you @robten87 and @r_j_q_b_ for all the support over the years, you guys have built and are continuing to build the most amazing space for creatives in London ❤️ what an honour to have been a small part in it.

One door (hopefully only sort of) closes and luckily another is opening.. the last year or so we’ve been building our new studios a few stops down the road and it’s exciting times ahead as we nearly have our new home in Shoreditch. More to follow… taken in London, United Kingdom by @oli_slack

My 3rd attempt at running a marathon (1st - injured, 2nd - covid). I’m not a runner, just always wanted to do one.

Training was going pretty well and actually started to enjoy running a bit 🫠. About a month before the race I got ITBS on my left leg during a 20mi run which stopped any significant running for the remainder of the plan. Thankfully I could keep up other training & substitute runs with alternative cardio but getting on a xtrainer for 90+ mins is not something I’ll miss.

10 days before the race I cut all running and spent every available moment giving my legs TLC. Mobility, stretching, foam rollering, icing, massage, sauna…

The plan worked and I finished (with no ITBS 😇) in 4.59

I’d been training to get closer to 4 but all things considered, I am so pleased to have a) experienced the London marathon and b) finished it injury free. I didn’t push myself too much to get the time I’d been aiming for and just enjoyed every minute of running the event. The atmosphere was like nothing I’d experienced before. A bit of rain was not going to put off what felt like most of London coming to cheer everyone on.

So this is a good time to thank..

..everyone that donated towards @fitzroy_transforminglives Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.

..To @ikptfitness for my leg conditioning program. 2 days per week of mobility, strength and stretching, without which I’d have likely repeated my 2019 attempt (injured!) Its not your fault I might have ran too much 1 week causing itbs but you gave me all the help I needed in that final month to get me over the line.

..to Lisa and the team at @osteopathwest5 who kept me well oiled throughout.

..to Jesal (@ridingwineco )who’s coaching and training plan I stuck to as best I could. I am super grateful for all the voice memos, messages and last minute pep talk. Your support & guidance leading up to race day was invaluable, thank you 🙏

And finally thanks to everyone that came to support on the day, especially @louise_sims1 for arranging friends and family in secret. As if running the marathon wasn’t overwhelming enough, to have that at the end was absolutely amazing. 😍I had to enter the 2024 ballot… taken in London, United Kingdom by @oli_slack

Probably the only moment of calm…..this time last week.

Despite nearly 2 years of planning, I was not in slightest bit prepared for how special our wedding day turned out to be.

To my wife 🥂

Despite constantly changing restrictions on gyms the last few months, I got the chance to run my first spinning class this year. Hats off to Natalie and the team @overridespin for adapting the studio to be tier 3 safe, and a big big thanks for having me this side of Christmas! 🥳 taken in London, United Kingdom by @oli_slack
