Congrats, Lishai, on being selected as Hamilton's first Poet in Place. It was a pleasure taking your portrait, and I'm so happy for you!

"The City of Hamilton is pleased to announce that Lishai Peel has been selected as Hamilton's first Poet in Place.
As Poet in Place for 2024-2025, Lishai Peel will perform original works, enhance public spaces through poetry projects and deliver workshops in partnership with the Hamilton Public Library. Rooted in creative placemaking, the Poet in Place program will create meaningful opportunities for Hamiltonians to engage with the poetic arts."

Some windy portraits before their wedding ceremony. I love Morgan & Sam’s infectious happiness! It was such a pleasure to document their wedding day.

93-year-old grandma of the groom: "They told me it is a vintage wedding, so I brought this 115-year-old purse that belonged to my aunt".

Cal's mom tells the story about the letter he sent to the Toronto Maple Leafs when he was ten. The best wedding speeches are the ones where you laugh until your stomach hurts and then cry, all in one speech.

Sometimes, when planning your wedding, there is unnecessary pressure on what you "must" do on your wedding day. The only thing you need to do on your wedding day is just be.

The stories, your family stories, will reveal themselves, and it is my job to document them. I hope that one day, my photos will be part of your family history.

Josh drove to my Airbnb at 6:30 a.m. because he wanted me to deliver this card he wrote to Tessa before they saw each other at their wedding ceremony.
