NEW SINGLE OUT NOW
A. Dreams in Transit
B. Our Secret Garden

Read about it online @soyoungmagazine
🔗link in bio

“Ethereal apparitions of the Cocteau Twins, Deerhunter, and even The Durutti Column emerge within this dreamlike realm; their almost familiar shapes endure metamorphic shifts as they dance about in this altered reality. Paired with B-side ‘Our Secret Garden’, ‘Dreams in Transit’ becomes a glistening reverie—a vivid hypnotic dance of emotion that pulsates with its raw intensity, yet, like all dreams, slips away with the dawn of a new day.”

We’re excited to announce Olinda to the 2025 Higher Ground Festival!

Olinda is the most recent project to bear fruit from the lifelong friendship and songwriting partnership of singer and multi-instrumentalist Josh Klein and guitarist Peter Burke. The duo released a spate of singles in 2023 showcasing their distinct electronic sound which melds synth pop, acid house and techno with virtuoso guitar lines reminiscent of British indie icons like Johnny Marr and The Dururtti Column.

Their music has received extensive radio play across the CBC, NPR, the BBC and the National Campus and Community Radio network including CJAM. Their atmospheric and energetic live performances have seen them embraced by the Toronto DIY and punk scene. They have opened for like-minded established acts in dance, goth and post-punk including Riki, Nuovo Testamento and Forever Grey.

Olinda will play Higher Ground Festival ahead of the release of their Mirage EP which is the first to feature the vocals and lyrical contributions of collaborator and occasional live member, Czarina Mendoza. Expect lots of fog machine!

Make sure to catch Olinda and 31 other musical performances at the 2025 Higher Ground Festival!
