Today I’ll show you some fun stuff you can do with Signos by Olivella Modular.

This module is great at combining audio signals in many different ways, from simple linear VCA duty to ring modulation to weird logic waveshaping. The best is that it has individual outputs for each of these process wich allow for some fun self patching and parallel operation.

This short video focus on audio rate manipulation but the same techniques can be used to great effect on control voltages.

Have fun!!!!

We’re making music with our own machines.

— Text by Juan.outro —

In the timeline of Latin American electronic music history, there’s a highlight: the construction of synthesizers on our continent. I personally have a lot of admiration for the designers who are giving us new ways to sound without always having to look abroad.

I consider Olivella one of the best examples in terms of quality, design creativity, and sonic depth.

The GRAVEDAD is the main oscillator in my modular system, and today I wanted to tell you why with these videos.

It has an incredibly versatile and textured sound; it’s both aggressive and subtle. And thanks to its dual voltage control on the main oscillator and sub-oscillator, it allows us to generate polyphony!

Comment, share, let it be known that we have our own unique sound.
