Hi, my name is Olive and I am a Loughborough university 2024 Fine Art graduate. Inspired by my degree show series I was commissioned to create three paintings for the newly renovated @burleighcourt restaurant and hotel on campus. Pictured above (‘Untitled’ acrylic on canvas) this painting can be found in the restaurant on site named Fifty the street.

After careful consideration with @designedbyharrison I decided on a colour palette that matched well with the furniture upholstery fabric, ensuring the piece would feel at home and compliment its surroundings.

Through the use of acrylic paint and large-scale canvas, my work explores the narrative of intuitive abstract expressionism. Diving into the manipulation of form and colour, to convey meaning, evoke moods, and communicate complex ideas in non-verbal ways.

To have my artwork displayed in such a lively, inviting and warm space, amongst other talented artists and graduates is an honour and I deeply appreciate the support and trust I have been given in my artwork and creative journey. by @olivemarthaart

Finnishing my degree on a high last week with the degree show, Showcasing my creative journey and hard work to my peers, tutors, and industry professionals. It has been an opportunity to engage with an audience, receive valuable feedback, and celebrate my achievements. As well as gaining knowledge on curation and organisational skills. Feeling sad to be leaving Loughborough but my time has come to a close in the best way possible :) taken in Loughborough University, Fine Art Studios by @olivemarthaart
