P3 at the World Champs 🥉

A nice way to finish off the season on the podium! After a terrible start to the final on the first two sections, I thought a podium was out of reach, so I’m happy to have pulled it back during the rest of the sections and take a bronze medal. I definitely know there was more in me, but that’s just how it goes sometimes!

Overall I’m happy with what I’ve achieved and how this season’s gone overall — 3rd at the World Champs, 3rd in the World Cup overall, and 3rd at the European Champs. Can’t complain!

Big congrats to @julen_saenz for 🥈and @charlierolls5 for the big W💪

Massive thank you to everyone who’s helped and supported me throughout this year, none of this would be possible without you all!

Hungry for more next season 🔥

What a way to finish the season! 3rd at the World Championships in my first year of elite and a full GB podium, what a feeling🥲

After only making the decision to move to the 26’’ bike at the beginning of the year, I went into this competition season with low expectations and a goal of qualifying for a World Cup final by the end of the year. Looking back, I can see all the hard work and hours of training have paid off, and I’m proud of what I’ve achieved throughout the year and feeling more motivated than ever to keep pushing for even bigger and better results next year!!

Massive thank you to everyone who has supported and helped me throughout the year, much appreciated it wouldn’t be possible without you 🫶🏼

A decision I didn’t want to have to make, but one I feel is necessary.

I’ve spent the whole year training and making sacrifices to prepare for the biggest event of the season. Deciding not to travel to Riyadh and missing the chance to compete for a world title hasn’t been easy.

With the current situation and uncertainty surrounding travel, rider safety has to come first.

What’s disappointing is the lack of communication and support from the UCI. Riders have invested significant time and money into preparing for this event, yet there appears to have been little consideration for our concerns and no clear alternative put forward.

It shouldn’t be left to individual riders to make these decisions without proper guidance. The UCI needs to take responsibility for the riders competing under its name and show that their safety is a priority.

Ultimately, riders deserve better communication and more consideration in a situation like this.

Anyway, we’ll keep working for next year 💪 by @oliver.weightman
