Say hello to JUNO! 🏆

So grateful to Axios @axiosmensensemble and Pro Coro Canada @procorocanada for inviting me to add my voice to the recording of UKRAINIAN WAR REQUIEM, a stirring choral work by Benedict Sheehan @rowanbenedict42. For many reasons, this was a deeply emotional and personal project for me.

This fall, Axios and Pro Coro will take this JUNO award-winning work to nine cities in ten days — Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Montreal, Ottawa, Kitchener, Hamilton, London and Toronto. Please come listen to this incredible work live!

Some BTS from opening night of Puccini’s thrilling « TOSCA » with Calgary Opera (@calgaryopera)!

This is my third production, second with the company, and what a fantastic experience this has been! Some of Puccini’s best writing, a fantastic set, and gorgeous singing by everyone!

Wishing Tosca (@marianatalesoprano), Cavaradossi (David Estéban), Scarpia (@boaz.daniel.baritone), the Sacristan (Dion Mazerolle @operamask), Spoletta (Matthew Bermudez, @asthmatictenor), Sciarrone (@george_theodor) and Angelotti (@gs.ortega) a relaxing and well-deserved day off!

Huge thanks to director Joshua Borths (@borthsj) for his clear vision and leadership during this production. As a student of history, I loved the historical elements and pathos about which he reminded us constantly. And while we may not have had a lot of stage time, it made the music that much easier to sing. Thank you, Joshua, and please come back again!

Looking forward to Sunday matinee and Saturday night! Viva Tosca! Viva Puccini! 🇮🇹🎭🎶 taken in Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium by @oliver_munar

Puccini's "Tosca" is one of my favourite operas. The drama, the music, the storytelling - all of it is truly amazing! And with this cast assembled, you will surely love it!

"Tosca" also holds a special place in my heart. I had my first principal role as an opera singer in "Tosca" as a young boy.

If you want tickets to the Wednesday evening show, I have two pairs of tickets to offer. Send me a direct/private message!

My 2026-27 season starts with learning a new cantata that celebrates the historic defeat of Napoleon by pro-Italian and pro-Papal forces back in June 1800… not sure who the composer is, though, but it sounds a lot by Puccini… Can’t wait to hear how it comes together with the soprano soloist…!
