Each curve terminates in a hand-carved flourish inspired by the Neo-Gothic ornamentation designed by my great-grandfather, an architect and woodworker.

NATURE: How to bring the most of it into your home? 🌱🌿💐

One of the many reasons I create sculptures from wood is because of the inherent warmth and proximity to nature the material embodies.

After 13 years of collecting tools, it’s finally time to give everything a home. 🛠️

In this Episode of the garage to studio build, I’m tackling a massive milestone: clearing the floor, organizing over a decade of hand and power tools, and building the ultimate wall storage system.

Here’s what went down in this build:

Custom Pegboard System: Painted bright white to maximize natural light and layout flexibility.

Hand Tool Display: Custom shelving built specifically for my hand planes, saws, drills, and sandpaper.

Dedicated Clamp Storage: 3 heavy-duty shelves to finally clear the clamp chaos.

The Big Unpack: Sorting, organizing, and mounting 13 years of gear into its permanent home.

Getting this workshop organized isn't just about clean storage—it's about setting up a workspace that actually flows so I can finally get back to making art.

Cracked ceiling to clean & bright.
Fixed the damage, smoothed everything out, and added lighting that completely changed the space.

Simple upgrades make a bigger difference than you think.

This sculpture is formed from two steam-bent curves looped, knotted, and held in place by two live edge slabs of wood.

The ends of each curve bloom into carved end pieces and is wrapped with hand braided cords.

I layer material, wood species, and joinery to create a sense of complexity in each artwork.

Steam bent curves are simply the foundation of each piece.

Hand-selected live-edge wood adds density while inlay and strings operate on a smaller scale to draw the eye around each sculpture.

There’s a new detail to be discovered with each visit.
