¡Juntos por más sonrisas! @operacionsonrisapanama Being apart of an Operation Smile surgical program was an experience like no other. It was so special witnessing Operation Smile’s mission of providing safe surgery and comprehensive care in person.A specific family that touched me was that of Anoili and Frailian. Frailian is a bright boy who I spent time doing multiplication and division with right before surgery. Anoili is a bubbly girl who loves smiley face stickers. The dedication and strength of this family as a whole was a beautiful thing to see, and I am so blessed to have had an impact on their experience in the shelter and hospital.Another person I want to mention is Isca. I met her on the first day. She loves her fairy outfit and dancing in bubbles. When I saw Isca after her surgery, she ran up to me and sat in my lap. I braided her hair and painted her nails. Connecting with her before and after surgery was so special, and I’ll never forget the courage of her and her mom.While I had fun dressing up as a superhero, the real heroes were the kids. They show bravery, kindness, and resilience all with a smile on their face.
