A couple weeks ago, on a quiet Friday evening in Manhattan, Josh and I were married in a private ceremony in front of our immediate family and God. The whole day was intimate and deeply personal, just the two of us, savoring the grace of this sacrament, in a city that will always hold a piece of our hearts. Nothing hurried. Nothing loud. Just our love for one another.

Afterward, we had a candlelit dinner in Soho, our family gathered close. The whole day was filled with the glory of God, and I’m humbled by the fact that I get to experience a love like this.

We can’t wait to celebrate with the rest of our family and friends in one year, when we’ll raise a glass with everyone we love so dearly as the Mays 💌

A dinner full of love, laughter, and God filled moments. So grateful to my parents for putting together the most beautiful, intimate celebration after Josh and I said “I do” at the Manhattan courthouse. Watching our families come together around one table, sharing stories and joy for hours, made our union feel even more special and full.

More moments from our little day in March— The first look and vows🕊️

Those closest to us know how deeply personal it was to choose an intimate wedding, with only our immediate families, in the heart of NYC. We truly threw it up to God, knowing we were doing things quite unconventionally, and trusted that He would show up and show out. What I didn’t expect was just how much beauty there would be in keeping it small, quiet, and ours.

I remember being 11 years old and telling people I wanted to get married at The Plaza (only having learned of it through Eloise and Bride Wars). It was never a dream I consciously carried with me, but God has a funny way of bringing little things full circle in a way that can only make you laugh. Standing there on our little day, exchanging vows at The Plaza, surrounded by both of our families, felt almost too serendipitous to be real.

I feel lucky to have had my family so close and near to every moment. I feel lucky to have gotten to savor and take in every smile, tear, laugh, and moment to its fullest extent with Josh. The past two years have been the most fabulous, awe-inspiring, joy-filled days of my life. This city gave me more than I knew to ask for. I got friendships beyond my wildest dreams, countless stories to belly-laugh at, a repertoire of Broadway shows under my belt, enough fashion inspiration for decades, and a version of me that has felt the most “me” in a long long time.

God met me here in ways I’ll hold tightly to the rest of my life. His great miracles and mercy were abounding on just about every city corner. How incredible that a couple years could so drastically and indefinitely change me!!!
